I came here today to Station #2 to help with informing the public about this program during the Fire Service Day Open House. During the open house they had the station open for families to see where the firemen eat, sleep and work as well as giving demonstrations on what happens when they get a call about someone with chest pains, how to extinguish a real fire and which extinguisher you should use. The highlight of the day was watching them show a demonstration of a victim of a car accident trapped in their vehicle and watching the men break the window to check on victim and using the jaws of life on the door. They had free hot dogs, for all and the let people sit in one of the large engines and displayed all of their equipment and of course cute little fireman helmet and sticker badges for the kids.
