Being able to sit down and plan out everything from the decorations, the seating, and all the way down to the exact menu we wanted in one meeting made everything so stress free. We were able to have 50 of our closest family friends in attendance and the space fit everyone perfectly. We had so many of our guests compliment the food, and the staff here was so amazing in putting together such an amazing dinner for all of us. However, I will say the cream cheese ice cream that I wanted to see if they could recreate (Which they DID) was the biggest hit of the night! I didn't know much about Brkthrough beforehand and showed up wearing boots, definitely a mistake. Good grip athletic shoes are best since some challenges involve climbing and running. There's a reason they have you sign a waiver before you start! You're competing against other teams at the same time for the highest score, which adds to the excitement. Overall, it was fun and occasionally challenging. Some rooms were a bit boring, while others literally gave you a headache. The key is to relax and not overthink it, unless your friends and family are super competitive! I was a able to reserve the tickets online one day prior, and it's a great spot for team building, birthdays, or any kind of celebration.

The past time was in mid-January, and it still felt like 90. Let's just say the furnace works better than the A/C. It's pretty basic with a little bar setup on one end, space for tables and to mill about, and then a little raised area on the opposite end which would be good for addressing a crowd. Not the most memorable or trendy event space, but a good overall spot if you're out in that end of town.

The facility offers meeting and wedding space for up to 200ppl and can be booked through the City of Lenexa which keeps the cost affordable.We booked the wedding on a Friday evening which saved even more costs. Saturday weddings book a year out so you'll need to contact them early or camp out to book a spot with the City. Many images can be googled online to show you the facility's offerings. We didn't need to do much for decor as the facility is so clean and classy with brick walls, exposed beam ceiling in the main hall, a full kitchen, meeting rooms for the wedding party to get ready etc. An outdoor courtyard can be used for the ceremony also although it's along I-35 for traffic noise. We did experience problems with the set up, AV equipment and evening staffing but these issues were addressed satisfactorily when we brought them up to management. We'd definitely recommend this air conditioned barn to any bride and groom.
