Fiore di Mare was an AMAZING B&B. Although, while a "B&B" it's actually individual apartments! Our apartment was one that you enter into the living room area where there is a television and couch and a closet and then you can head downstairs that is a studio style room with a fireplace, bed, mini-kitchen, and dining table. And, of course, a small bathroom. We really loved the apartment and it was super clean with modern furniture with the ONLY negative being that the living room was a little on the warm side and the fan up there didn't seem to cool well. Otherwise, this room was remarkable.
The table was laden with food for breakfast, including cereal, fruit, breads and pastries and there was a refrigerator with water, juices, milk, etc. There is a coffee maker available in the kitchen.
The bathroom was small but clean. The shower was a little on the low side for my husband, but the hair dryer was GREAT!
When we arrived, we knocked on the door not knowing what to expect, but there was no one there and, of course, once we realized that it was an apartment, we knew why. When we didn't get an answer, I called the telephone number on my reservation and the owner said he would be right there, which he was. He gave us the keys and the wifi password and we paid him for our night stay and that was that.
I do need to say that this is on a TINY one way street and there is street parking, but while we were lucky and got a spot right next to the building, parking is limited.
Overall, this is a great place to stay. Its in the heart of everything so you can walk to restaurants, bars and the waterfront and it's one block from the Grotta Palazzese restaurant. Did I mention it was $65?? NOT a typo! EXCELLENT VALUE.
Important to note: I know there are at least TWO apartments. I only saw this one, but we met a couple staying at one next door, so there are two apartments available that I'm aware of. read more
