I have retained this law firm trusting before researching more than I should have because when you…read moregive your best you tend to expect the best. A PERSONAL MISTAKE OF MINE. I submitted everything as asked to only be told (if even responded to) that when I fax documents after hours their fax machine is off after hours and I have to send PDF files so in turn dismissals were filed against me claiming I didn't do my part. My dad passed away just 2 months after filing so I asked for just a portion to cover necessary repairs on my home. I sent a letter outlining my intentions with just a portion so that I had the best possible outcome for staying compliant with the plan. I never heard back from them and had to call several times to ask about this matter. Again, transparency on my part. I was emailed back with a very black and white "NO", you will surrender all extra income. COMPASSION would have gone a long way in this matter. I put my heart on the line, thought in every word I wrote and honesty in every intention. A response with soul would have meant a lot. When I asked how I should handle this situation going forward, I was told that the advice of the attorney was the last say. (Word of advice.... doing nothing, changes nothing!) When I asked how necessary repairs couldn't be considered, the response from Taylor was where did I find my information? "GOOGLE?" I was taken back by how rudely I had been treated since the very beginning. The whole time wondering why I was being treated like a low life that just decided to blow money. I was trying to do the commendable thing and, pay back as much as I could. Lost documents, misguided guidance no return phone calls, a fax machine that turns off after hours and rude heartless responses! DO your research before coming to this law firm. There are actual firms that will blow your mind with kindness after scraping the bottom of the barrel when life left you feeling like your hands were all but tied that you'd sign anything just to try and feel a float again. If less than a zero was possible that would explain my entire experience. All bankruptcy attorneys get the same payment so don't let that stop you from getting the most value from your experience.

From the get go, I spoke with an attorney that seemed eager and ready to take on my case at this office and somehow, by some horrible turn of misfortune, my case was passed to Don. During consultation, Don seemed completely disinterested and when I brought him more documentation, I was told "I'm the attorney, not you." Great start and a foreshadowing of things to come... Just a fun little added bonus was the string of butt-dialed calls I got from the secretary while she was at a bar one evening. Super professional. I wish I was joking. Back to Don. At the court date, Don showed up unenthusiastic and unprepared. He mostly sat in silence or fumbled through what little paperwork he did bring to court that day while being outclassed in every way by the opposing NOVICE attorney. He said maybe five words during the entire case and wanted to fold and settle without me or him interjecting once. Needless to say, we lost that case. However, I did hire a different law firm at a later date and won with the same documents that were presented to Don... And before someone from the office gets on here and says he was prepared or tries to say these claims are false, read the reviews around the internet about Don personally. He's rude and unprepared.
