She quoted me $275.62, I gave her a deposit of $75.62, leaving me with a balance of $200.00. Since I do not live in Huntington Park, I called less than a week later and asked her how the order was going. She said "Please come in I want to have your daughter to try it on and see if you want me to add more roses on the dress". I went that Sunday with my daughter and my cousin. When we got there, she brought the dress and veil out. First, she didn't listen to my clear instructions on how I wanted the dress, in our initial meeting I clearly gave her instructions on the rose embroidery placement on the dress. She placed a few roses, and I did not pay for the dress to have a few roses. When it came to the veil she also just put a few roses on her veil, I said "Please add more, this is not acceptable. "She then said, "I only have a few roses left and they are not going to be enough for the dress, but I can add them to the veil." I had no choice, but then goes to the back and brings out this black fabric with roses and says, 'I have this one, but the red roses are on black fabric because where I went to buy it, they did not have any more white fabric on red roses." Apparently, she cut all the rose embroidery from the fabric, and she never once mentioned this was going to be the technique. I would NOT have agreed to that. Her assistant said, "It took me so long to cut all those roses out." I told Loly and the other lady that I gave Loly clear instructions on what I wanted and that she should have called me that there weren't enough roses because I would have easily sourced a fabric store in the fabric district of Downtown L.A. I looked elsewhere and knew what fabric and style I liked for my body so I found THEE DRESS. THE ONE. We politely asked 2 staff members for help and whenever we had a question we were asked if we spoke Spanish and when we said our Spanish was poor they would say ok and continue to attend other families so we continued to wait till they came back to us. When we were able to get their undivided attention and asked to try on the dress I wanted in a size XL, they brought me a 3x... when I tried it on obviously it was not the correct size she told me it's only to see how it looked on me... so I asked for the smaller size again and explained I wanted to get a better idea of the dress in my size even if it was in a different color so I know how the fit will be... she then brought me a 2x. Same issue. So since the lady assisting me didn't understand my request the manager comes and asks what is the problem. I further explain how I'd like to try on an XL because that is the size I've been trying on in similar dresses with the same cut , material , etc. The manager then tells me "I'll tell you right now an XL will not fit you. It won't fit your arms so the 2x you have is the best idea for you to try on" I told her how the 2x was overflowing and not hugging my body at all and how I tried on a L and XL elsewhere so I know it will if I may PLEASE try it on. She then explained how dresses are made by different companies and how they run different so it won't fit me. I stated I understood that and since the dress was the exact same at the previous shops I would still like to try the XL so she walked away and had the original staff member bring it to me.
