It was such a sweet experience. (Oh boy! Here come the honey and bee puns.) I was with a small group, and we were led through a guided honey tasting by Emily, the owner and operator of Queen Bee Artisan Market. The market is actually a shop that's located down the street from where the honey tasting takes place. Our honey-tasting session lasted about one hour. During the hour, we smelled and tasted different honey varietals -- some paired with locally made cheese, some tasted by themselves. Emily told us about the unique characteristics and origins of each honey we sampled. It was like a wine tasting, but with honey! Emily has a little gift shop in the tasting room; if you're so inclined to purchase some honey to take home with you, you can. You can also visit the artisan market down the street to find more of Emily's goodies. I highly recommend the honey tasting, if you're visiting Lake Geneva with a group. It's such a unique and memorable experience, and not one that you can find many places.

The boutique is owned and operated by Lakeland Animal Shelter, and all of the profits go toward the operation and endeavors of the animal shelter. So you can feel good knowing that your money is going toward a good cause! You'll find clothing (mostly women's clothing, but there's a section for men's clothing), jewelry, home goods, decorations, antiques, furniture and lots more. The shop is neat and tidy, and everything on the shelves and on the racks looks like it was carefully considered. The people who work here are super friendly and helpful.
