Visited the location on Upper Glen - phenomenal selection of clothing, china, tchotchkes - great selection of menswear. Got a formal event - evening wear with tags still on - beautiful(and who wants to drop $$$ for one night?!). My only reservation was the pungent cigarette smoke smell pervading the entire store - and I don't mean residual - it smelled like someone had been smoking in the store! read more

Greetings!!! I want to tell everyone about this FAB store!!! I was there a few days ago. The owner Kyleen is so amazing along with staff. I sold some former stage clothes and bought some super cool casual comfortable items..Love them.. So affordable as I no longer spend money on retail since I have started shopping at high end thrift. There is now no reason to. Anything you need is right there.. The downtown atmosphere where store is located is very nice. I love to plan for a lunch in Glens Falls and stop in Finders Keepers to shop. Kyleen makes you feel great and lets you know you are worth it and you deserve it! Loving my finds!!! There is a large stock of clothes, mostly womens. They know their labels so Mossimo for Target is $8 and a name brand $15 to $25. It is cheaper than retail and an opportunity to buy better quality. Downstairs has prom dresses and wedding dresses that I skipped. There is a restroom. read more

I love Finders Keepers ! I have been shopping at Kyleen's stores for over 10 yeas. She has always been very helpful and polite. She cares about her customers and her consignes merchandise. Some times she has customers come in that think they are shopping in Walmart or Target and mistreat the clothing they Try on.Throwing them on the floor ripping zippers and putting thing back in the wrong place. She works very hard to make her customers happy. I love visiting and seeing alll her new awesome treasures. We are so lucky to have her and her fantastic store in Glens Falls. I do all my clothes shopping there and bring my family or buy gifts there often. I hope she stays on Glen Street. Finders Keepers is a very important part of Glens Falls and I look forward to shopping there for many more years to come. read more

Tried on a few things, but no purchases. My mom found a purse she liked and got a discount on it, too. Sales clerk tries to be helpful. Many racks of clothes to look through plus lots of jewelry, both new(ish) and vintage. Downstairs is full of shoes and purses and prom dresses. Hare Krishna music added to the enchanting atmosphere. read more

I used to love this place. I wouldnt say I was a regular, but I would go in every few months and usually find a couple of pairs of jeans i'd like, and buy them. Kyleen's shop is known for having a HUGE room filled with wedding dresses, since she liquidated a local bridal shop that had closed. So I went to try on wedding dresses for my big day-- just my parents and I. When we first got there, we were looking through the gowns and pulling ones I liked, and we found one that was in a bag & on the floor because the hanger had previously been broken. So my mom went and let her know what we found, so that she could grab a new hanger, and so that it wasn't just sitting on the floor. I think that she thought my mom was lying, and thought that my mom broke the hanger because when Kyleen came back in with the new hanger, she looked at us and goes "you need to be careful with these, you can't just treat them like they're already yours." And she walked out of the room. Rude!! I continued to try on dresses to get an idea of gown styles that i liked, but needless to say, she did not get a dime of my money. She always seemed to be nice before this experience, but you would think that especially if a woman was trying to look at dresses for her big day, she wouldn't be so miserable to her customers! read more

The store has a '60s "peace and love" decor and signage about "entering with kindness," but it's a hype because the proprietor (Kyleen) is unbelievably rude. For example, when she put one of my items aside as being unacceptable for consignment and I politely asked why, she snapped "because I don't choose to take it!" I merely wanted to know if it was stained or had some defect that I was unaware of, excuse me! The rudeness alone is enough reason not to do business there, but also she expects people to leave their items for consignment without giving them any receipt or proof of what items, or how many items, are being left there, because "that's her business model." When I asked her for a receipt she refused and accused me of "giving off bad energy." In a very condescending tone she informed me that it was up to her discretion whether to do business with me at all, since she's the owner of the business. She's very impressed with herself. If any of your items sell you get 50% of the sales, but only if you come in on the 1st or the 15th of the month -- on any other day you'll only get store credit, and she won't tell you which particular items sold. After 30 days she gets to sell your remaining items, and keep all the profits, unless you come in to collect your things within 10 days, but you have to hunt around the store to pull out your items yourself -- considering how smashed in everything is, good luck with that. But you probably wouldn't want the clothes back anyway, since the shop has a pervasive musty odor that she's attempted to mask by burning incense -- I couldn't get the smell out of my nose for the rest of the day and I can imagine it would be difficult to get the odor out of the clothes after they've been in there for a while. In short, unless you want to be treated rudely and buy smelly clothes, avoid Finders Keepers -- there are lots of consignment shops around, and in any one of them the proprietor is bound to be more polite. It's interesting to note that in one of the other reviews below someone else has mentioned Kyleen's rudeness, so I guess it's not just me. read more
