I am so glad that I dropped in, and honestly I could have been here for awhile. The minute you enter, there are tons of clothing, but when looking for specific items that are antiques (ish) then you are in for a treat. People might think the thrift store is not organized but honestly they all have the same look to me & the scent of old bookstores/garage smell. But when I am in the mood to look for old cast iron objects specially old soap dishes, or anything that appears retro, this place has them. And the man who was helping me was quite nice and lucky me 50% off as it was labor day special. And I liked another item, that I came back to purchase the Native American Headdress (war bonnet). I was lucky it was still there because it caught my attention, hesitant because it is definitely an honor to find it and my hands drew me to the item when I was purchasing a cast iron bird/fountain. Also awhile back I did come down a few years ago and a lady who worked there was giving us free books. Also showing off the items that I was happy with! I went to Doves and the Fun Stuff thrift store and could not find anything remotely close to what I found at Hummingbird. There was also Mountain Mod and that place was cool but only if you want to spend $25-maybe even $500+ for things that probably can be found in estate sales. Definitely checking out Hummingbird on my next trip!

I've found everything from antique Fiestaware to a huge glass and wood display hutch - prices range from fair to really good - HUGE craft section that always seems to have fabric, notions, and paper craft supplies. There are always other misc craft supplies, too. - tools are vetted before being put out for sale, and the one time I brought a drill home that didn't work Dove's very kindly gave me store credit, which I promptly used to grab a different drill that did - Dove's will deliver furniture and other large items for a very reasonable fee, and even place it where you want it in your house - local's discount day every week - sales support the local women and children's shelter

Some coats have been there for weeks, a London Fog that I have seen there for over a month is priced with a sticker that says $75 and retails for $225. Like, so what?!?! You got it donated for free. I do like that they have a small pantry of free food and children's jackets for $3. They even have some free items for kids. Overall, a good thrift store that is nicely organized and most items reasonably better priced than the one up the road.
