Paws to Angels was amazing in our time of need with our 16 year old Am-Staff Terrier. Daisy was in…read morepain from arthritis, collapsed when running or walking (back end weakness), and had stopped eating but still had a little life in her and P-t-A allowed my daughter (her true owner) to take her on one last drive and treat run before coming to the house. They were so caring and supportive throughout the whole process. They called to check on us afterwards to see how we were doing. The little heart that was divided between my daughter and Daisy was a wonderful touch as was the poem with Daisy's fur. Their shop where I picked up Daisy's remains is incredible - so many options for urns, rememberances, etc. The only thing that we all regret is the vet that came out made us feel pressured to hurry and that Daisy was scared because we weren't ready and felt rushed. He was older (a lot) and I know that his job IS euthanasia but he might have forgotten that, although this is routine for him AND we have been through this before, this was my daughter's FIRST dog, was her comfort dog, AND Daisy was surrounded by 5 people - two she didn't know - and he just wanted to get the job done but she needed some comfort not just us restraining her. So....... Highly recommend Paws to Angels but be prepared that the vet is very brisk and can leave a lingering bad feeling about the process - which is too bad because everything and everybody else is so wonderful!

Cherie is too good for this world…read more I cannot begin to describe how understanding, kind and humanely she treated us in our time of grief. We lost our baby unexpectedly and were at a loss as to what to do. Cherie rescued us from our grief and confusion by truly being available 24/7. She was very tactful in honoring our wishes and allowed us just grieve. Our Mojo was honored every step of the way and we were able to get closure. Please use this service for your pet. Our babies deserve more than just being disposed of at the vet. Cherie will truly take care of your pet and provide emotional support for grieving families like ours. She is a lifeline. Thank you Cherie.

This is a review I never wanted to have a reason to write. My 18 year old cat ninja had started…read moreslowing down, wasn't himself, didn't jump anymore, and was having issues getting to his litter box. When he stopped eating his favorite thing in the world (canned tuna) and was barely drinking i knew it was time. I started looking into my options and I found road to home. It's a little bit more expensive than euthanasia at your vets office, but id say it was worth every single penny. It didn't help that ninja hated car rides and I didn't want that trauma to be one of his final memories. The pair at road to home came out and did every part of the process they could with him in my lap. Once the sedative kicked in they gave him a leg catheter and from there on i wasnt able to hold him, but i was able to lay with him. The level of care and compassion they showed me in one of the most difficult times of my life was second to none, and getting to be by ninjas side all the way to the end was definitely part of the closure I needed, and I'm sure that ninja appreciated being able to have his last memories be being held and loved by his dad. They also offer transportation to Nebraska Humane Society's rainbow bridge services if you choose to have them cremated. Theres still a hole in my heart, but being able to let ninja go with dignity, in the place he loved most, definitely made it a little smaller. I have another 12 year old cat and my service dog hits 10 this year. When their time comes, (knock on wood it's a long time away) I will absolutely call upon Adam and Heath again. I cannot recommend road to home enough.
