Unfortunately, some not so good things happened. I don't want the certificate and can't use it. I called and asked for a refund because of the things that happened to me...but the response I received was very cold. I was even called a liar and was told, "I don't know you." I was also told the website said there are no refunds. This could very well be the best fishing in the area, but customer service isn't very good. The first time I called (months ago) I was told I had the wrong company because they didn't have my invoice. I gave them my wife's name too but they said they didn't have it. I guess they found it now, but they are refusing to give me a refund. The website says very clearly that DEPOSITS are non-refundable, but nothing about the rest of the payment. If the policy is "no refunds for deposits" so be it, but keeping the rest of a customer's money even if you don't do anything for them...come on now...that's just bad business. WARNING: be careful buying a gift certificate for somebody...they might not want it and you can't get your money back. Don't even ask for it because the response you'll get will be pretty rude. To be fair, I was offered the opportunity to go ice fishing or I can use the certificate next year as well...but I have no desire to spend the day with somebody who treats me like I was just treated. No refunds certainly means no refunds.

He uses only top-notch equipment and the latest in ice fishing technology. His fee is reasonable and even includes a fresh cooked hot lunch on the ice (for full day trips) which we really enjoyed.

The De Pere Riverwalk and Wildlife Viewing Pier is aptly named. It's a walking path around a river,…read moreit's a pier, it's a place to spot wildlife. This park is located in downtown De Pere, and consists of paved walking/strolling trails that wind around the Fox River. The riverwalk extends to a pier, where you can look out onto the river and see lots of birds, including pelicans. The pelicans seemed to like hanging out by the rushing dam -- they were catching fish in the river. Humans were catching fish too. There were several people fishing, and one person that I saw caught a huge fish. There's a sign on the pier that tells you what kind of fish live in the river: walleye, sturgeon, carp, perch and others. Apparently, you can kayak in the Fox River, and there's a lock here that takes you down the dam. I didn't get to experience that, but supposedly it's a very cool thing to do here.

We are thankful for that! Thru God, his experience allowed us to limit out while walleye fishing last week. My husband grew up fishing so it's pretty hard to get him to even go on a charter. I visited this lovely conservancy area for a quick visit when I was in the Green Bay / De Pere…read morearea. Osprey Point is 80 acres, and it a beautiful place to wander around. But be smarter than me and put on bug spray! I got so many mosquito bites during my short stay. Granted, I visited right after it rained, so all of the little bug were out and looking for fresh blood. Along with mosquitos, I also saw wild turkeys! I was surprised and delighted to see them in the brush, but apparently wild turkeys are common around this area. I've never seen one in the wild, though! So to me, it was kind of cool. There's also an osprey nest on the grounds somewhere, but I never saw it. There are two ponds here, where you can go fishing, if you wish. If you don't wish to fish, you can feed the fish if you have a quarter: There's a fish food dispenser by the pond. Osprey Point is a nice little park to walk around and see some Wisconsin nature. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

My husband and I just returned from Door County and three guided fishing trips (two with Jake and…read moreone with Joe) and we had a blast! First of all, the communication ahead of time prior to our arrival was great - Jake asked what we wanted to fish for on which days and we scheduled them with the ability to move around if we needed to in case of bad weather (we lucked out thankfully). Both Jake and Joe worked very hard finding us a variety of fish and taught us different techniques. Their equipment is top of the line and we both ended up catching not only a nice variety of fish, but trophy sized walleye on our second day that shocked the hell out of us (biggest fish we had ever seen!). I highly recommend Jake and his crew; they are professional and fun people to be around. We hope to plan a smallmouth trip sometime in the future

We are three longtime fishing buddies who fished smallmouth bass with Jake for three days over the…read moreMemorial Day weekend. Weather was often uncooperative but Jake is a great guide, the hardest working guy on the water, attuned to conditions and determined to find the fish. He has a fast A-list boat, A-list electronics and his tackle is first rate. (We are seasoned fishermen who brought our own pro-level gear but ended up using his.) I suspect there's not a lure at Cabela's or Bass Pro Shops that Jake doesn't have in his tackle box. We switched lures and techniques often depending on conditions and location and caught fish, even on a day when the wind was 20 mph from the north at our backs. Our best day was about 35 bass and on our final day we probably brought 25 fish to the boat--averaging about 4.5 lbs each. My big one topped the scales at 4 lbs, 14 oz. It was close to epic!
