We found Danielle Lentz online and after viewing her portfolio we knew that her style and aesthetic was exactly what we were looking for - bonus that she is a local, Snohomish photographer! From the start, Danielle was a true professional and very easy to connect with. We decided on La Push for our destination and she helped us in planning out the logistics for the day. The funny thing is, plans rarely go according to plan... our family arrived late to the campsite, we rushed to get ready, and the weather was not what hoped for. I had a low-key meltdown on the beach, feeling everything was a just a mess. Through it all, Danielle's sweet and positive attitude kept us encouraged that we would get the photos we were hoping for, despite the complications along the way. She was patient, flexible, calm, and reminded us that we were on an adventure. She helped us relax and stay comfortable, which was significant considering we had never taken family photos before - and it can feel a little awkward at times! When we received the gallery with our photos a few weeks later, we were truly blown away. Danielle has such a great eye for capturing the moment, and it comes across so beautifully in her photos. We were referred to Jenn Tai by our wedding planners. We spent $4,410 for 6 hours of wedding day…read morecoverage with 1 photographer. Our photographer was Kelly Bowie. From the moment Kelly arrived at our wedding it felt like amateur hour. Even though we met with her in advance of our wedding and sent all the details in writing, she "forgot" pretty much everything we discussed. For example, Kelly forgot to bring the list of family groupings for the family photos. Kelly also forgot that we needed seating for disability accommodations during the family photos and chose a location that required our elderly and disabled guests to walk down a hill and then stand outside in the August heat for almost an hour with no place to sit. Additionally, during the ceremony Kelly's presence was very distracting. We were in a small greenhouse with multiple entrances where she could have easily walked around the guests to get from one point to another but instead she walked down the aisle and in front of our guests multiple times during the ceremony. If it's possible, when we received the photos we were even more disappointed in Jenn Tai Photography. There was a real lack of attention to detail that was visible in the photos and that you expect a professional photographer to be aware of. For example, in several of the photos you can see phones visible in pockets, hand sanitizer clipped to belts, etc. Also, some of the key photos were overexposed and as a result faces or images were so light that detail was lost. We brought a lot of these issues to the attention of the company owner, Jenn, who did her best to address our concerns during post-production editing. Jenn's customer service was great and we know that she worked hard to try to correct the issues. Thank you, Jenn, for doing your best to fix our photos. Overall, we're still not happy with most of our wedding photos, but thanks primarily to Jenn's post-production work we have a small percentage of wedding photos that we love and will cherish.

We interviewed a handful and felt an instant connection. Not only is she super professional and great at what she does, she makes being photographed fun and easy! She photographed both our engagement photos and our wedding. For our engagement photos she made both of us feel super comfortable not only in front of the camera, but also packing on the PDA at Sculpture Park lol. The photos were fantastic and really did capture who we are as a couple! Fast forward to our wedding. She was super organized, able to keep our family in line (it can be like herding cats) but most importantly, she was super inclusive to all of our family and friends. Our photos are beautiful and candid. Looking at them makes you feel like you were there on the day. We will recommend Jenn to all our friends and family and continue to use her as our family grows! I'm really surprised by how many good photos she got of our dog considering he was so distracted! I love how the photos turned out in terms of composition and capturing us as a family - as someone who has worked with cameras in the film industry, I'm usually very picky about photos. Also, all our guests LOVED that it was an actual robot. People are still talking about how much fun it was. Leading up to the wedding - the owner was really kind, responsive, & patient. We were really late with picking out our backdrop (there are so many to choose from!) and picking out our logo (you can submit a custom one or he will make a basic one for you) and he never got impatient with us. Everything from start to finish was so easy! During the wedding - the operator assigned to our event was really cool. There were so many drunk people who didn't know what they were doing, but he handled them with grace and courtesy. I was very impressed with his professionalism. After the wedding - the standard time on his contract is 2 weeks, but we got ours in less time than that. The photos - ours turned out great. The lighting was a tiny bit overblown, but for photo booth photos - they were the best I've ever seen! There were a few favorite props everyone gravitated towards, but they had a great variety of props there. Everyone looked like they had such a blast. What's nice is that they not only give you the composited picture, they give you all the full-size pictures of the 3 pictures that made the composited picture. I'm super happy with the people, product, and service I received. If I ever throw another massive party, I'll definitely be using them again!

Erin did my engagement photos and wedding photos many years back and we loved them. She was great…read morewith picking spots and helping us pose- I am definitely NOT a natural in front of the camera, but she made it comfortable and fun, and we really love all the pictures we got out of it! Very natural and very 'us'. I hadn't had any professional photos since then though, because #1, I'm terrible at planning and prioritizing things like that (esp without a major reason/event, like a wedding), and 2, it didn't seem like it was really within my budget right now. However, being on her mailing list all this time I saw that she sometimes offers mini sessions and I finally took the plunge over the holidays with my 4 year old. It was great- it was super quick and easy, AND affordable. She's great with kids, keeping them talking and smiling and posing all while taking photos rapid-fire. Since it was a mini session, I was just hoping for a couple of good shots to use for our Christmas cards. Instead we got so many good ones it was really hard to choose which ones to use! I'm so happy to have these photos and am now fully convinced this is something I need to prioritize annually as my son grows up.
