Walked in with a fifth third check from an estate account still fifth third bank estate account check for 182,000. Ask the teller if they could give me parking in cash and part in a cashiers check she said no I said can you cash it? She said if we had that much money I said do you have that much money she said no I asked to see a manager. She said there's no manager here I said so there's nothing that you can do for me even though this is 1/ fifth third check she said if it's an estate check, it needs to be deposited into the estate account. I said the estate was just closed today. I'm here to cash my portion of the estate. This is 1/ fifth third check. I want half in cash half in the cashiers check she said even if we had that much money I wouldn't do that for you because we don't split it like that so I told her her attitude sucks and she said yours is not much better and I walked out. I don't know anything about banking. I'm not a maker, but I bet that if she would have asked me if I wanted to become a member and deposit the check that they could've given me some money and the rest would've taken a few days to clear I would've been OK with that however, I never was offered anything but attitude and told there was nothing that they could do for me. My Boyfriend has been a regular at this location for 2+ years going each month bi weekly . Last week he had an awful experience for just trying to inquire as to why he was receiving a letter that his CD had become dormant ,and they would be claiming his money shortly . This was alarming ,and a huge problem as the Maturity date on the CD was oct of 2020 . When he went to inquire as to why he had gotten such a threatening letter Mr Daniel Fischer could offer no explanation. Then quickly became defensive ,and rude about the lack of knowledge. At this point frustrated My Boyfriend left the branch. Later that day we return at which point we have to pull the money out early "so he would not loose it "with a penalty for doing so. I inquired as to why all of this was happening myself "because I was not preset earlier" Mr. Fischer became extremely irate with me trying to blame my boyfriend saying he had been impatient earlier and the answer could be found easily in only 2 mins . Oh Really now ? If that's so why can you still not offer any information on this matter ? So that was most definitely an out and out lie. Beyond rude and incompetent. This is my branch to bank at and have been with Fifth Third since 2006 when I first opened my account all the staff were pleasant and I got to know the manager, who would call me every now and then and ask if everything was OK, over the years it all changed don't know how or why you would have to ask the powers of Be at Fifth Third Corporate that question. One day I sat at the drive through for nearly 20 minutes while one cashier did her best but I left and called the branch, the then manager Errol Mooney answered and I asked why there was only one member of staff behind the counter serving not only customers that walked in but the drive through also, he responded with "We are short staffed and other members are away on training" I asked him why he couldn't assist the one and only girl behind the counter since he wasn't doing anything but answering the phone, he responded with "you sound like a person who likes to complain" and suggested "I go bank with the Bank of America" since they only have ATM's and not people across the street on Sam Ridley. and that was from the branch Manager. so if that's how you want to be treated then this is the bank for you. I refuse to go in to the branch any more purely on the fact that I don't wish to be insulted. read more

I recently moved to the Smyrna area. My first time going into this branch was today & I will never return. I walked in and Vickie gave me a very forced greeting - as if she really didn't want to speak, but because no one else was available she went ahead and opened her mouth. After her greeting that she honestly could've kept, she never mentioned "one of us will be right with you." I assumed she was available to assist me. I walk up to her counter and she gave me a very dirty look, so I asked her: "are you available to help me?" To which she responded: "I'm doing a deposit right now. Someone will be right with you." Now as I'm interacting with Vickie the lady to the left of her is on the phone with someone who apparently she couldn't hear or understand. As I'm waiting, I witness the other lady being very rude and even elevating her voice out of frustration that she couldn't understand the man on the other end. At this point, I walked out of the branch. If it weren't for how I'm treated at the branch in Brentwood, on Maryland Way, I would've have closed my account - TODAY! read more

The employees here are slow and unknowledgeable. You walk in and come into an unfriendly banking center where you get the cold shoulder. They don't greet you instead you see the employees texting on there phones. At times the staff comes across in a disrespectful manner. The tellers are young and not experienced therefore you gotta wait 10 minutes just to get what you need done. I would recommend you bank else where. read more
