Great service! Helped me a wire transfer right before closing when the New Lenox office wouldn't!

I formally terminated my merchant account with Payroc, LLC (Merchant ID: 520002649576) several…read moreweeks ago, but the account has not been properly closed. Despite providing clear written notice of termination and returning all Payroc equipment, the company has continued charging monthly fees, including PCI non-compliance fees, even though there has been little to no processing activity on the account. Payroc has repeatedly insisted that I sign a "Change of Ownership / Add Signer" form in order to close the account. This form was not requested by me, is not related to closing the account, and I do not consent to sign it, as it would impose new contractual obligations that I never agreed to. I have made multiple attempts to resolve this issue directly with Payroc's representatives, but the company has refused to close the account or stop assessing fees. In addition, Payroc has stated that because my bank account was linked for ACH withdrawals, I am automatically responsible for all charges. This statement is misleading and incorrect, as ACH authorization does not determine legal liability. I have already notified my bank to stop all ACH withdrawals while this dispute is pending. I have filed formal complaints with both the Indiana Attorney General and the Illinois Attorney General regarding this issue, and I am seeking immediate resolution. This includes the closure of the merchant account, deactivation of all terminals, cessation of all future charges, and written confirmation from Payroc that the account has been terminated without requiring any change of ownership or additional contractual obligations. This review is a factual account of my experience as a Payroc customer regarding account termination and ongoing unauthorized charges. I am sharing this to inform other potential customers of my experience and to encourage Payroc to address this matter responsibly.

I cannot recommend them enough and always carry their business cards to pass out to other small businesses. If you want a rep who not only believes in your business but also supports you in any way necessary, ask for Paul or Curtis Haley! While on an equipment set up at our location, Paul, witnessed our staff struggling to keep up with orders. With no hesitation he scrubbed his hands, threw on some gloves and got to work. I was shocked to walk in and see him in full swing making orders and doing way more than than he had to; just to see our business succeed. Thank you for being a huge part of our journey and we look forward to many more years with Payroc.

At age 81 I have no earnings; my income is derived from three unearned income sources: military compensation for injuries sustained in Vietnam; Social Security; and a federal pension for serving our veteran population for 30 years. All three income sources are from our country, the USA, and are sent by direct deposit to Old Plank Trail Bank in Mokena, IL. With no advance knowledge my account is closed and I no longer have access to the income derived by direct deposit. My bank statements clearly show direct deposit amounts totaling nearly $5000 monthly. Did any corporate officer of Wintrust care that I would be without income due to their conduct. No. They simply acted negligently and closed the account leaving me cashless. As for the reason: I suspect that my support of my fiancée, and her son, a Ukrainian widow and her son, were considered suspicious and said support payments were troubling to Wintrust Compliance managers. If you are a disabled veteran and engaged to an Ukrainian widow, I recommend you stay away from Wintrust banks who act cavalierly and have no knowledge of anyone's humanitarian desire to support a nation under siege by Russia.

They have fantastic savings, CD, and checking options. Their online banking is very easy to use. And, unlike other banks, they have coin counters for my kids to turn in their change without having to pay a fee. Thank you!
