    Purdue Federal Credit Union

(Note: I currently only have a credit card with Purdue Federal. I am unable to comment/review on…read moreother banking services they offer.) Being a college student, I decided earlier this year that it was time to finally get a credit card. I wanted to build credit before I graduate. I have always banked/used a debit card through a large bank, but without much (if any) credit history, I wanted to find a reputable card I'd be approved for. Purdue Federal has a good reputation on campus, so after talking to some friends, I decided I'd give them a try. This location provided me with excellent customer service. Located conveniently in the Union, I stopped by after class, and talked with a representative. I try to do research online before signing up for any sort of service, but I'll be the first to admit I really didn't know much about the process of applying for a credit card. They walked me through every step of the way, and they were incredibly patient with me and answered all of my questions thoroughly. I was approved for the card, and finished setting up my account the next day. The employee that helped me setup my account was just as helpful and kind as the first. He made sure I had all the information I needed. My card arrived without issue about a week later. I appreciate how easy Purdue Federal makes things. Setting up Apple Pay was a breeze on the card, and their website is functional. It doesn't have many bells and whistles, but since I try not to make a ton of purchases with my card, that doesn't bother me. They offer an app as well, which I appreciate. It was easy for me to setup my external checking account with my bank to link in with PEFCU's site in order for me to pay off my balance. Overall, I can't complain about the service I've received with Purdue Federal. I like my card, and they offer easy services. They also make it easy for students to start and maintain accounts, which I highly appreciate.

Over the past 15 years, I have literally tried about 15 banks since I moved out of Region's territory and I have not found a single bank that comes close to Regions customer services, products or features. I have always kept my Regions account open and now with things such as mobile deposits, I can bank with Regions while not living close to a branch. Just like all banks Regions does have mobile deposits, text bank, telephone bank, ATM's that take cash without envelopes, quick processing options for check deposits, etc. But this is where the similarities end. Regions stands apart and surpasses every other bank. Their customer service reps are not only extremely courteous but also extremely knowledgeable. And they do not have call centers overseas like many large banks do. Regions Bank offers several money transfer options. Some banks like Chase or 5/3 only have Zelle. You cannot send money to someone who is not using Zelle. Regions not only offers Zelle, they also offer ACH payments on personal accounts where you can pay someone straight to their account by entering in their routing number and account number. Regions also has Western Union on their online banking. I could go on but I don't want to make this review too boring. I love Regions Bank. It is the best bank by far. I just wish they would have an ATM agreement with some other banks or a nationwide ATM network so you can withdraw money free when you are not in Regions territory. But it's still the best bank there is.
