Staff is always nice. Usually pretty quick. Not a member, just have my car payment through them.

To my friends, sorry for the long post. I was wronged and this company has severely mistreated…read moreme.Wright-Patt Credit Union I had a car loan from a private out of state seller. The bank specializes in these kinds of loans and told me they would handle everything. Almost three months into the loan and they still have not done any work to obtain the title. At best they ask vague questions just to the BMV just to make a note that they called. They literally told me they couldn't find the title and I told them numerous times what state the title was in. I ended up needing to file against them with the Ohio Attorney General's office per the BMV to get on an exception list so I can renew my tags. I was not added to the exception list and WPCU has neglected to submit the title paperwork to Ohio for me to get car plates. I had to make almost every single call to the BMV to find out next steps. I went to the BMV only to find out I was never added to the list so now I have a car that I cannot get tags for or plates because WPCU has neglected to file the necessary paperwork when they know where the title is and how to get it. They refuse to contact the Attorney General Office to request i'm added to the list to make this right. Additionally, i reported this incident to consumer affairs who regulates them. They have failed me as a consumer. I trusted them, and this contract for a car they cannot even secure at this point is baffling. The audacity to refuse to place my loan in a 0% interest deferment due to their negligence is impressive. I have told them numerous times where the title is and in what state and I have verified this information upwards of 10+ times and they fail to document it. Additionally, they have failed to even attempt to resolve this issue by filing the needed court paperwork because they say they cannot. They have POA paperwork from the previous owner so that is simply untrue. They can literally file the paperwork to secure the title. They want ME to pay the cost to secure the title from another state. Their are unwilling to come to a resolution. I feel bullied by this corporation in their half-hearted vague attempts to help and trying to gaslight me into believing it when i'm the one making all the calls and doing all the work. They didn't even know what paperwork they needed to file or how to. If you want this kind of problem by all means, open accounts and get your loans. Beware that working with this financial institution has been a complete nightmare. They will tell you they are trying to help and make half hearted efforts to make themselves look good on paper and do absolutely nothing and make you do all the work.

To start, I would like to say that this was a good bank at one point in time, and I feel it's fair…read moreto give them credit for that, since I (like many) did not take the time to review it while the experience was a positive one. Now, let's talk about the present instead of the past. This bank has been going downhill at rapid pace over the past few years. When I say "this bank" I'm meaning the bank as a company, although the customer service has gone down as well. I have finally reached my last straw after looking at my account to find that they have taken $30 out of it for "service fees". To my knowledge There should not have been any- I make it a strong point to not have any accounts that charge them. That's not to say maybe a clause isn't buried somewhere, or more likely that they have taken it upon themselves to add it since I opened the account many years ago. But in any event, them reaching their hands in and taking my money is absolutely not acceptable, and has broken and trust and respect that I had left for them. Now as I said, that was the final straw that pushed me off the fence to make me actually start the process of closing and moving our families three savings accounts, checking account, and business account. That's not an easy task, and the reason why I delt with them through this point. But to give some insight into the other issues: during the PPP period, they were not only completely unhelpful but flat out rude. After two weeks of messing around with them and waiting for callbacks that never happened, I finally went to another bank for it. Another major issue was just a few months ago I needed to setup guardianship accounts for my kids. They again were extremely unhelpful, and apparently there is only 1 person in the entire company that can even set them up. Want to guess what that was like? Yeah, it was even worse. We, again, had to go to another bank and had the accounts opened for nearly a week before the heartland rep ever even called back. And then there is the day to day type issues that are just a frustrating headache, but I think you get the point. In short, I know I have written a lot so I'll conclude it with a TL;DR summary: bank used to be good, now it's like they're in a race to the bottom of the barrel with Chase. Don't let them take your money like they did mine, bank somewhere else.
