The manager asked us how our meal was which made us feel very welcome. Grandpa's burrito was as big as his head. Friend said the taco salad was seasoned well with steak. There were a lot of options for authentic meals. I had two tacos, each priced at 2$. I ordered an additional meal and everything was great. The ambiance was warm and relaxing. There are booth and table options. The guys next to us had some beer which were served in large iced mugs. Would have ordered dessert if we had more of an appetite. After getting sat I quickly ordered the Beria tacos as it's my favorite to order at Mexican restaurants. I got to eat their just okay chips and salsa while I waited. I will say their green sauce was incredible. Next my food came out and I got to trying my decent looking plate. Tried the rice and beans, nothing special. Next, I tried my tacos and they literally disintegrated as I picked them up that's how soggy they were. I even had to ask to drain the extra sauce into a bowl due to how much was all over the plate. What came next is why this is a one star for me. I complained to the waitress just due to how bad it was and the chef came out and basically told me I was wrong and that the tacos are supposed to be that soggy and basically it is what it is. I told him I've never had Beria tacos that soggy and have tried places all over the country (literally). He responded that basically I was wrong and that if I ordered something else that's meant to be soggy and didn't like it he would need to charge me. While waiting, employees were gathered at the checkout counter openly cussing. One female employee literally told another to "shut the f*** up." Completely unprofessional and unacceptable in any restaurant, especially with families present. We had a small child who was already upset, and to make matters worse, some of the employees' friends were sitting at a table loudly making rude comments about our child.
