Fiesta Inn is a very nice hotel.
I had no problem at all with check in. Everything went smoothly and quickly.
My room was very spacious, very clean, bright, and quite comfortable. I had a king size bed which had four large pillows, a little bit overstuffed, but still very nice. The nightstands on either side of the bed had electrical sockets directly above. So there were plenty of places to plug in your devices which need recharging. The free Wi-Fi was easy to access, though not as fast as I had hoped at peak hours.
There's a comfy chair and ottoman with a little table for a sitting area. There is also a long long desk with office chair where there are several plug-ins in the lamp as well as a large flatscreen TV. I appreciated the fact that there was a special piece of furniture on which to place my suitcase with drawers underneath.
The closet had good hangers for hang ups, a safe, an ironing board and iron with which to touch up your clothes.
The sink area is like a counter which helps divide the bathroom area from the rest of the room. It has a glass top and a modern looking square bowl type sink. There was a washcloth and hand towels. Underneath, on a shelf there was a coffee maker with mugs and coffee (which I did not use because I preferred the coffee from the Oxxo convenience store across the street).
The toilet and shower room featured a very nice shower with a large rain type shower head. The water pressure was also more than adequate.
This hotel is on the upper floors of another building which has government offices. There is a large open area in the middle or you can look down into the full building. The rooms on the inside of the building have windows looking into that open area. Only the rooms on the outside have windows to the outside. Windows do not open, however the air-conditioner provides nice temperature control and ventilation.
On floor one of the hotel (which is above the government floors and the lobby / restaurant floor) there is a gym, exercise room which has a few exercise machines for weightlifting, treadmill, bench and a full set of free weights. There is no pool.
I did not eat at the restaurant because the reviews said the food was not that great. However, they do offer a room service as well as dining in. The room service menu is limited during the late night and early morning hours.
When you drive up to the hotel entrance you have to go up one floor in an elevator to get to the lobby. To get to the floors were the hotel rooms or do you need your room key to activate the elevator.
The hotel does offer some banquet rooms for those who want to inquire about them.
I would consider this hotel very good for business travelers but not as good for vacation travelers. It is farther away from many of the attractions were most tourists want to go. It is located on the north side of the metroplex.
There are taxis readily available right outside the hotel for those who need them. A shopping mall with several nice restaurants are also within walking distance. read more
