I was hesitant to go anywhere in plantation due to a negative experience with the plantation orthopedic group that was like a bone mill with 20 patients waiting ,three hour wait time and very little professional ability exhibited. However this place is small, personable and seems to be a one doctor operation that doesn't overstack patients. Here is the best part -Dr. Aparicio not only knows what he's doing -it is obvious that he likes what he does. Great bedside manner, explains things in a simple yet non-condescending way. Was very thorough and in my case conservative with regard to surgery not being needed. Medical assistant. Or office manager not sure ( did not catch her name but a blonde lady )had a great amount of information available for my options of knee braces and how to deal with insurance which ended up being 100% covered for knee brace-(thank you Obamacare!) surprisingly, Dr. Aparicio is on my HMO -chosen by my fantastic doctor Jennifer Goldman MD (Pembroke Pines memorial healthcare system). This is a place for healthcare delivery. The doctors, nurses and office managers should be more vigilant with their staff, especially during a pandemic in one of the worst hit states in the country. We were contacted immediately by his office, got our new patient appointments, easy/quick electronic e-sign paperwork and text appointment confirmations, private parking lot, no wait, clean, organized well orchestrated office/team, team are friendly, knowledgeable, pleasant and professional. It's conveniently located in the Winn-Dixie plaza on Key Biscayne, where I can grocery shop or pick up a prescription following the appointment. I find the staff friendly and helpful, and it's ridiculously easy to get a timely appointment. Like the office, Dr. Bertran is not fancy. He rarely wants my input, which was initially off-putting. Then I realized that it's my son he wants to hear from: he listens to my 2yr old! What a concept, talk to the patient and not his worried mother! The more experience I have with the doctor, the more I find I trust him completely and I've even gone so far as to recommend him to strangers. We agree on vaccinations, and I find that I like his sometimes curt attitude. I want a doctor who is serious and provides solid treatment, I don't need a hand-holder. I was in physical distress and Aronson was left with 3 voicemails from the nurses asking about his whereabouts. Ended up using a vacuum 10x (his notes say 3, the nurses documented 10) and ignored non-reassuring fetal vital signs for minutes. Minutes. That's a lifetime for a newborn, especially one in distress. I talk to other providers about my experience and they are appalled and shocked about the lapse in judgment and negligence Dr. Aronson demonstrated, especially for a seasoned and experienced physician. I think his ego clouded his perception of reality. The consequences of his actions significantly scarred me physically and emotionally. Needless to say, he will always remember me.
