I was disappointed with several issues we ran into in our first few weeks with our daughter in the beginner gymnastics class. We ended up pulling our daughter from the class as we never felt they were properly addressed.
We've enrolled our kids at different dance studios, but this was our first experience with gymnastics. At risk of sounding like a helicopter parent, I wasn't comfortable with leaving our child at a place that prevents parents from monitoring the activity. Parents weren't allowed in the gym itself, which I can understand. But there was no TV to watch the class, and the window to the gym is blocked with a black curtain.
When this was brought up they were adamant that they wouldn't be putting in a TV as other parents had told them they didn't like the idea of other people watching their kid. To each their own, but there are several videos recorded in class on their social media pages, so this argument felt a little lacking. read more
