This is the email I sent to them with no response. Good Evening Gelia, we are reaching out to…read morebefore we leave any feedback to try to come to a fair resolution with you. We used to live up the road from you on Rock Lake Dr and for about 12 years we did an airbnb with our carriage house and would never think of making our guests clean up and take away their garbage and do the laundry. WE also only charged 45.00 for cleaning a 3 bedroom private home. You on the other hand expect us to pay 185.00 cleaning fee and you want us to do the laundry, clean the dishes, vacuum he house, clean the kitchen, take all the garbage with us in our car and if we leave it you charge an enormous removal of garbage for 25.00 a bag. We had to clean the house when we got there, the kitchen was dirty and the bathrooms were not cleaned in a while, dusty and spider webs in the showers. There were dead bugs that we had to clean up also. Most of the light bulbs in the house do not work and I do know that you are aware of it due to other feedback about this issue. We had to go out and spend 40.00 for air fresheners because the whole house smelt very musty. We paid for a 4 bedroom log cabin with a washer and dryer. We were not able to use that floor at all due to the smell of mold. We did though wash all the linens and towels as required and cleaned a second time before we left. In your add it states that we are to receive incidentials at a value of 125.00 but instead there was used hand soap and a broken shampoo dispenser hanging off the wall. The one upstairs one in the shower was disguistingly filthy. I took many pictures upon my arrival of all the broken and dirty stuff in the cabin. The railing on one side of the deck stairs to go into the cabin is missing and I fell in the dark thinking there was a railing. Luckily I did not get hurt. I fell in the weeds and got my clothes dirty. I was not happy about that. The outside of the property is very unkept and nothing like your pictures. There is no exhaust fan over the stove for cooking. The front left burner does not work and gas escapes when you turn on which is a saftey hazard and the stove was filthy as well as the griddle which is really gross and should be thrown out. I am still waiting for my 100.00 deposit returned, plus 100.00 back for having to clean the cabin. I also want 25% of my rental fee returned due to not being able to use the downstairs due to mold and overall sloppy and unkept appearance. I am waiting upon your response before I leave feedback. I was originally planning to come back again in August or September but as it stands now, we don't see that happening. We come back up to Lakewood at least 4 times a year for about 5 days each time to visit our son. We sold our home on Rock Lake Dr last year and we were hoping to stay at your place for our visits.

My wife and I have frequented this cozy little diner for a few years. Simply enough, we return here…read morebecause we're always pleased with the food, service, cleanliness, and all-American milieu. Here, you could be in any decade from the nineteen-fifties till today. It seems timeless. We had the Lunch Special, lasagna, which totally surprised us. Clearly, this is not an Italian cachino, and the garlic bread that accompanied the lasagna was straight from a country kitchen. The garlic toast and the main dish were just what you'd expect at your mom's kitchen table. Wholesome and delicious in a generous portion. As I said, we've had many lunches at Windsor Diner. All were delightful, and all keep bringing us back.

There weren't many options and the best reviewed was the Windsor Diner.(Yes, consisting of just one review... where that family was adventurous enough to try the lasagna - which is so amusing to me.  And not the last time we'd encounter a Yelp review in this part of the world where people actually order the lasagna from places no one in their right mind would!) Coming from NJ (diner capital of the country) where even my little hometown used to have 3 diners itself... maybe it isn't fair to judge a diner in God's country the same way we do in Jersey. This place is small.  It's decrepit (from the carpeting to the bathroom). There's a really strong odor (maybe old/burnt oil from the fryer?) wafting through the place the whole time we were there. But it's really busy... people coming and going constantly - which we take as a good sign. Waitress - awesome.  We're getting a good vibe from this place now. The Mrs. - really enjoyed her dish. Younger twin - he dug his dish. Older twin - half-and-half, he dug the sandwich but not the side of (clumpy and congealed) mac-and-cheese. Myself - after joking with the rest of my family about someone ordering the lasagna and garlic bread what do I do?  I bravely order their haddock special.  It wasn't "bad" but it definitely wasn't "good".  The (bland) filet was hacked up (either the cook was angry or this was the only way for them to 'know' the fish was cooked through/properly?) and the mashed potatoes were very basic (boring).   Pricing was honestly great.  (Jersey) Diner-size portions and no dish was over $14-ish. Not sure we'd come back but it definitely served its purpose.

The main cabin was a large area with a few bedrooms, bathrooms, hot tub, exercise area and more. The entertainment cabin had rooms and more too! There's a large gathering area thy includes a kitchen, pool table and a good amount of games to play. There's ample sitting space everywhere! The outside was nice and accommodated smokers with seating and ashtrays. There's 2 fire pits outside on the grounds aliens with an jacuzzi and swimming pool. They're closed right now due to Covid-19 and the season. There's a hiking trail right at the entrance and it leads 14 miles up the mountain. Overall it's a great place to vacation. Whether it be with a group of friends or your family, it's definitely a great place to stay at!

We booked RiverView for a 2 day corporate retreat for 25 people. We had an amazing time,…read moreeverything worked perfectly, and the overall quality of the property exceeded our expectations. The layout of the property is a large house, a smaller cottage, and a large entertainment lodge all within about 100 feet of each other. The house is beautiful with original artwork, hardwood floors, palatial master bedroom, and more bedrooms downstairs. There's also a sauna, hot tub, some exercise equipment (that none of us used) downstairs. The entertainment lodge has a large kitchen (with 2 dishwashers), full size pool table, tv, enough room to seat 30+ people for dinner and also 4-5 bedrooms. The cottage is smaller and I think 4-5 people from our group slept there. Though I didn't step foot in it, the members of the group who liked peace and quiet were thankful to be staying there. When it comes to sleeping arrangements, there are more King, Queen, and Full size beds than there are Twin/Bunk. What that means is that if you have 25 or more people then you'll have 3 or more beds being shared. I've booked at least 10 group houses for friends, corporate, and smaller trips. This property is by far the largest, nicest, and most well appointed. In terms of value - I looked at houses in the Hudson Valley, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, and RiverView was far and away the best value I could find. A couple of helpful tips - bring basics like olive oil, salt, pepper and other spices if you plan to cook. We also brought extra paper towels & TP (although it was provided), we did find that useful. Also there was no hand soap, that might have been an oversight on the owner, but we did bring our own. Lastly - the in-ceiling stereo in the entertainment lodge was in the process of being rewired. Luckily we brought our own stereo & bluetooth speakers, if you like music I suggest you do the same.
