Dora's Home Cleaning was recommended by my realtor but, unlike the painters he recommended (who…read morewere awesome), I was generally unimpressed with Dora's. I reached out for an estimate pretty early on and they would not commit to a specific time until the day of. When I followed up on that day, they finally gave me a time, which came and went without further contact or anyone showing up. They later messaged me and indicated that there was an emergency that stopped them from coming and that they would give me 20% off the move-in cleaning if I still wanted to move forward. I decided to give them another chance but again they provided an unclear window of when they would show up for the estimate, so I had to be in place for a while waiting on them. Their estimate came in at $310, with it being $270 total after the discount, and I agreed. The day of the scheduled cleaning, their only commitment was that it would be "around noon" but they would confirm. Instead of a confirmation, I got one of the cleaning crew staff knocking on my door. While the crew staff were pleasant, I was not particularly impressed with the "deep cleaning" provided, as several areas were skipped and appliances were no better cleaned than I could have done myself in the same amount of time. Ultimately the cleaning was good enough to move in but now I will need to do a true deep-cleaning myself post-move, which is unfortunate. The payment process was annoying as well, since the Zelle information provided was incorrect, so I had to go with Venmo. I was not impressed by the general lack of professional behavior and cleaning efficacy they evidenced and I would not recommend them. Overall: 2.0 stars ---- Pros: - Price came in lower than other options with similar reviews. - Staff were pleasant throughout the process. Cons: - Communication and professionalism were seriously lacking throughout the process. - Cleaning left much to be desired, with several areas (and particularly windows) left in rough shape.
