Easy to access Indautxu station with decent markings in the area though you have to be kind of…read moreclose. As you're in the city, the station might be around the next corner. This can make it a little challenging. A "Metro this way" sign would be awesome for tourists like me. The station is underground, beneath Urquijo Avenue.
Brightly lit, clean, no smell of pee. There is a display that shows when the next train is coming.
There are automated ticket vending machines on the ticketing concourse and turnstiles. It's another set of stairs, escalator or lift down to the platform level. The machines did have an "English" button so I was able to buy my ticket without difficulty. As there is more than one zone, you will need to hang on to your ticket to exit the system.
Indautxu is in Zone A of Bilbao's metro between San Mames and Moyua stations.
There are three different entrances to the Indautxu station:
- Indautxu Square, Shopping Mall (Urquijo exit)
- 33, Dr. Areilza street (Areilza exit)
- 25, Dr. Areilza street (Areilza exit, elevator)
