I had reservations seeing a new Dentist only because I relocated to Wichita, KS from Texas. My…read morepast Dentist routinely treated me for over 15 years. He knew everything about my smile. My first visit started with a cleaning by one of his hygienist; however, knew I needed to replace a lost filling. X-rays were completed and Dr. Reno pleasantly introduced himself. Dr. Reno explained in detail our next steps aka treatment. He said, I needed a tooth extraction and a crown. My inner voice agreed with a "crown," and said "Right," however, paused about the tooth extraction. Seeing my facial reservations/expressions of discomfort, he offered and even suggested having a second opinion to validate his treatment. He further offered to send the x-rays and treatment to my past Dentist. At that point, he gained my confidence, sense of security and trust. Less than a week later, my tooth was extracted and now waiting for my well deserved "Crown." I am apprehensive about needles. He used topical anesthetic before using the needle to further numb me up. It was literally PAINLESS! 30-minutes later my tooth was extracted and a tooth prepped for my "crown." He communicated every step in detail prior to preforming his painless magic for my smile. His office was extremely flexible meeting my needs before end year. Basically, his office staff turned my "short-notice" timing priorities into theirs to meet my end year insurance. His office sends out text reminders for visits and email notices. Amazing! Love the open dialogue of communication for the Dr visits. In summary, I highly recommend Dr. Michael Reno as anyone's Dentist if you are looking for a smooth and painless routine for treatments. I look forward to my Invisalign treatment to start.

I have been going to New Ridge Family Dentistry for as long as I can remember, and so has my entire…read morefamily. Unfortunately, over time our experience kept getting worse. Every visit seemed to involve a different assistant, and I would often leave appointments extremely sore. There were even times I left with bleeding after procedures and it felt like no concern or care was shown about it. My dad also had ongoing issues with his teeth, and Dr. Reno repeatedly told him nothing was wrong and that everything was "fine." After switching to another dental office, they finally addressed the problem properly, and he has been doing much better ever since. Even after leaving the office, I recently had another frustrating experience. I called to request MY own X-rays and Pano be sent to my new dental office because I am getting my wisdom teeth removed. I was told I would have to pay $20 just to receive them and wouldn't receive them in 6-30 days, and they could not directly send them to my new dentist. That makes absolutely no sense. These are MY records, and with my consent they should be transferable without all the hassle. Overall, the service and patient care have been very disappointing. I would not recommend this office.

The strange part was when we arrive at reception, a scant 3 minutes past when we should have arrived ( and I even called to tell them I would be a "few" minutes late ) the receptionist was pretty dismissive and scolded me. She warned me that "usually you will be turned away if you're more than 10 minutes late! Was I in the twilight zone!? We were quite literally 3 minutes past, so I have no idea what clock she was reading ( I was reading the digital clock on her desk! ). After that we were rushed through xrays, the dental tech was about as pleasant as a statue. The actual Dentist was very nice, but we spent more time with the tech. My son was very anxious about this visit, so in turn I was anxious. The staff did the minimum to assuage his fears. Luckily he was only getting an exam and cleaning. We were told he needed a chipped tooth extracted, and they immediately recommended IV sedation. All the sudden they were concerned with his level of anxiety. Not only that, when I had second thoughts about the sedation because cost and other concerns the dental tech was so unsympathetic she could hardly disguise her tone. I went through a round of phone tag with the staff about rescheduling, and I only got the feeling they just wanted to make it more convenient for themselves. Awful experience.

Wow ! My friend…read morerecommended this dentist to me. I am so glad! They cleaned my teeth. Checked me out. I talked to them about a spot that bugs me. And they said I had a filling that was in a little sideways. (It slipped, maybe?) So we made another appointment for me for another day. That time, they talked with me about it, put novocaine on to numb me up. I turned on HGTV and enjoyed watching a show. I also had my sunglasses because my eyes are so sensitive. I recommend bringing those to the dentist. Their lights are very bright. This dentist also has sunglasses to give to patients who need them during their procedure. Also, I like having a "bite Square," when I am having a procedure done. It helps my jaw not develop pain from having to stay open. They gave me one of those. I had asked for it, but I think they were ready to give it to me before they started, anyway! The dentist and assistant were fantastic with rinsing my mouth and cleaning up spit and not making me feel yucky. I can be a germophobe and sensitive to tastes and sensations. And this was minimal compared to other (also good!) dentists that I have been to. In addition: My last filling (from a different dentist) never felt right. It's too smooth and doesn't feel like a tooth. It bothers me and the dentist couldn't do anything about it. Seneca Family Dentistry did a fantastic job! It feels like TOOTH instead of too smooth something something. I am super happy with the work they did on my tooth, and the atmosphere and the staff and the cleanliness of the place. It's all very good and I highly recommend this place !!!
