Dr. Trimmell is always so friendly and explains everything to me. I personally have never had braces and the first time going here I was intimidated because I didnt know who I was dealing with. I didnt know wether they would try to convince me that my child needed braces simply because they wanted my money. All of those fears were put at ease when Dr. Trimmell explained the treatment my daughter needed. I understood everything he said and even asked more questions if I had concerns. Before this my teeth had always had the proper occlusion without any of my front teeth making improper contact and without any discomfort. After he suddenly removed my braces, in response to the fact that my front teeth were making contact which hindered the rest of my teeth from touching and supporting like they did before, he had me open my mouth and he proceeded to sand down all of my front and side teeth with some sort of grinding tool. After this he ushered me out and told me that was all he could do. From there I kept trying to eat food normally, but it was difficult to chew food with my teeth because only the very back molars were now touching. I began to immediately experience sourness in my jaw from the strain this caused it, until one evening, a short time later, while I was chewing some food, I heard both of my tmj joints pop and I was in extreme pain. From that point until today I have been unable to chew anything and have had difficulty talking at times because of the extreme pain. Dr. Suman Gorantla should have their medical license taken away for their extreme negligence and total unwillingness to offer me any aid whatsoever.

So not much of her treatment was explained to me. They wanted her to get teeth removed to make room for her next round of braces. They referred me to an office that was no help. I was told "it will cost $600 to remove them because insurance won't pay" I could not afford that. So I talk to my child's dentist, he was confused why they wanted the teeth removed but they helped and they referred me to a oral surgeon that helped and got the teeth removed for my daughter. None of that felt okay with me so I went and got two other opinions and BOTH opinions told me, that removing the teeth was an old and lazy practice. And that with modern times there was no need to remove those teeth. I was not happy to hear that. I ended up going to another orthodontist for her second round of braces and I am much happier with their modern technology and approach. Just wish I would of done that before. I feel like they are more about money than good treatment

I was lied to every visit that it would be about "one or two more years". This was my biggest insecurity as I became an adult. Resulting in more costly procedures. After waiting a month for a crown, 7 to 8 novocaine shots, I was told that the nerve was too damaged for a crown. That I needed a root canal. That's an additional $1100.00. If my crown had bee done the day that I went to the dentist, this probably wouldn't have happened.
