I rented a U-Haul on 9/1 at approximately 9:30 a.m. At the time of pickup, I explained that I would try to return it by 1:00 p.m. on 9/2, but that it could possibly be later. I paid for what I understood to be two days specifically so that I would have additional time if needed. At approximately 4:00 p.m. on 9/2, while I was already on my way to return the truck, I received a call asking when I planned to bring it back. When I arrived, I asked for clarification regarding the two-day rental period and was met with a rude and dismissive explanation. The rental-period policy was not clearly communicated, and the way my concerns were addressed made the experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, based on this experience and the customer service I received, I will not be renting from this location again.

This location advertised 10 things on the list that are NOT actually available. No space. No propane. No boxes..... no extended access. No unlimited miles. The value was not there. I'd purchased them just in case for frames and ultimately didn't need them. Their policy, and I was assured this upon purchase in Houston, is that they accept returns with receipt if unused. The gentleman at the counter told me I was missing a tie, which I never received, and therefore he wouldn't accept it. Explaining that everything was as I'd bought it (you can tell when a box is used, come on now) he replied "how can I sell that?" The exchange was so argumentative and off-putting. Ok, I suppose it's more difficult to sell returned boxes (??) but that's the policy and it was not adhered to. I left the frame boxes in the giveaway bin - what does one do with those if not moving - for some lucky soul who I doubt could tell they'd sat in a truck for 24 hours. Whatever.
