You sign up before you arrive and check in at the lobby sign in kiosk. They do require masks at this time, but do provide you with extra masks and gloves if you do forget yours. Before your shift, you do a temperature check/screening outside which is very easy and non invasive. Parking is safe. A gated lot with tons of security cameras and volunteers in the parking lot at all times. With outdoor tent eating area. Tasks include sorting fruits/veggies and bagging them for transport. Organizing boxes ect. A task for everyone. The volunteers are all very helpful and nice. And at the end of your shifts you can see how much meals you provided. Shifts are 3 hours each. Once you get to the location, park all the way in the back, to the right side, then enter through the door. Once you enter, you'll be greeted, write your name on a name tag, then you'll check in on the computers, and they'll lead you to a room where they'll introduce you to the ACCFB, talk a little bit about the history, safety, etc. They also have lockers if you want to put your bag inside, and they have a break area where you can leave your water bottles, etc. The restroom is also clean as well! For the volunteering portion, I bagged apples & potatoes, and also assembled the giant cardboard boxes to fill up the produce and fruits in. It is super fun and you get a 15 minute break in between. This is a great location to do this solo, with family/friends, or even with work! There are lead volunteers around to help you with anything you may need. At the end, they'll recap how many pounds of foods were pack and how many meals will be served to the community. It is such a wonderful place to volunteer and I know it won't be my last time coming here!

Also visited dinner church on a Sunday evening and had some delicious baked ziti and fresh sourdough. There are sheep, chickens, goats, cows, and an alpaca on site. So cute! There's a nice and decently long hike up to some crosses on a hill. You pass through some cows roaming free during the hike, but they're all very friendly.

My husband, son and I went and it was a wonderful experience. She hugged us: first son, then son +husbnad, then son+ husband+me. I didn't know what to expect but it was quite moving. If you visit when Amma is here, you get an intro video that explains her work (impressive), some meditation (nice). Newbies are invited to sit at the front and you get hugged early on. After that, you can shop the visiting vendors and buy some yummy food they set up outside. The grounds are beautiful too. Try to arrive early. Identify yourself to the greeters as a first-time visitor. Amma's volunteers do lots of interesting things on site when she isn't here: gardening, making food for those in need, recycling projects. They also COOK FOOD AND DELIVER IT EVERY SATURDAY. This can be combined with delivery of fresh fruits harvested from the Amma center. I wanted to join a mother group because I was a new mother and I truly wanted the community,…read moresupport and friendships. I at first had a great time because I didn't truly know the people and once I truly knew them I was not welcomed in open arms. I was told that the other moms were mad and didn't feel me truly expressing my feelings of exclusion and being mistreated were fair when I was treated poorly. When I expressed I didn't feel a genuine connection or receptive attitude towards me due to energy vibes I felt. They used my social media presence expressing my hurt feelings as a reason to leave me out and exclude me from the group. They did not like I was a mom creator to say they don't feel comfortable having me in the play group and WhatsApp group anymore . It was not about me doing anything wrong they didn't like me sharing my feelings or opinions about being mistreated or left out. I wanted to know my feelings were not valid and when they noticed what I said which wasn't anything bad they choose to socially disrespect and exclude me from the group . If they were not comfortable with what I shared they should have never treated me that way or they should have spoken to me before making assumptions. Everyone should be allowed to be accepted for who they are and not be treated differently due to having different opinions, culture, personal experiences, values and beliefs. For this reason I am not coming back to the club and I hope they understand we are not in high school anymore. They could have just said I don't like you. I want you to stop trying to hang out with us and I would have left . I have never felt more disappointed and disrespected in my life because one of the moms said I should say thank you to condescending advice about my job search yet she was allowed to stay in the group. She let another older woman with two kids bully me. Yet how was I the problem when I spoke up because I didn't want to be treated like this and I expected a more mature/ positive experience. Maybe in 3-4 years I can consider rejoining but, I can't see myself doing that when I was treated so poorly and I don't want to see those women again. I am not sure if it was postpartum hormones causing people to be rude/ mean. I just don't want to come back to a group that doesn't want to talk to me or hang out with me.

I was looking for a fiddle fig for a particular room so I emailed asking what they might have. Ryan sent me photos of all that they had in inventory and made a special trip to the nursery to accommodate my crazy schedule. I ended up coming home with not only the most amazing fiddle fig but other beautiful plants.
