One of the most frustrating aspects of this experience was that it often felt as though Robert was siding with the opposing attorney rather than fighting for my son's interests. The repeated continuances and lack of progress were especially heartbreaking because my son was unable to see his two young children for a period of time. We hired an attorney expecting someone who would take our concerns seriously, follow through on commitments, and work diligently toward a resolution. Unfortunately, that was not how we experienced this representation. My son has requested his case records multiple times, including documentation of the work performed and communications with the opposing attorney. We also want a clear, detailed breakdown of the work Robert completed and how the more than $40,000 in legal fees was spent. We believe that, after investing this much money and time, we deserve transparency and accountability. We were also disappointed by the limited in-person court appearances. To our recollection, Robert appeared in person only once during those two years, with the other proceedings handled through Zoom.
