My complaint is with office staff. The are slow and consistently don't do things either correctly…read moreor in a timely manner. It took 3 weeks and multiple phones to get a referral sent to a specialist AFTER the Dr said it would be done. The nurse then had the audacity to get snippy about it. As a combat-injured Marine I've seen 20+ chiropractors all over America. Dr. K literally blows…read moreevery one of them out of the water. I've never had a chiropractor case so much as him. I was having neck pain and called the office for a Saturday appointment. They were able to schedule…read moreme and the chiropractor I saw was very nice and empathetic. Their receptionist/treatment plan/insurance coordinator charged me what she estimated my visit would be on the way out. When I received my EOB it was $45 less than what they had charged me. I called the office to have them refund me what they had overcharged. They declined to do so stating that they allocated $45 to body fat calculation from stepping on a scale for 10 seconds. I'm sorry but you can't charge someone $45 to do something gyms do for free for you and should be inclusive in the initial examination. They are not transparent in their billing at all and do not let you know up front what you will be paying. No matter how nice the staff and doctors, prices need to be transparent and fair. I would not recommend them.

Pros: very kind and knowledgeable athletic trainers and therapists…read more Cons: the therapist spends about 10 minutes out of the 1-2 hour appointments with you. The quoted price on the phone for visits (~$75/visit) is false and I was charged over $200 per visit-- I continuously asked what my appointments would cost at the time services were rendered and was told "don't worry, we'll work with you". I can tell you that is false- they don't work with you; when I asked to speak to the owner regarding this, the billing person (unfortunately I cannot remember her name-Deanna maybe?)said no. Since I had moved out of town, I couldn't resolve the issue in person. Also, they charge different prices for different body parts? I'm a physical therapist and know that this is NOT standard practice. A therapeutic exercise charge is a therapeutic exercise charge, and insurance reimbursement does not differ depending on body part, so don't let them persuade you otherwise. I'd highly recommend looking elsewhere for care. The lack of professionalism when it comes to the validity of their quoted prices and dealing with the billing representative makes me sad to work in the same field.

I have never been to a Chiropractor and was uneasy about the process - so used to being given drugs…read moreto cover up pain. Dr McMillen developed a very good rapport with me, he put me at ease by explaining the process, and answering my many questions. He first determined the reasons for my neck and shoulder pain before applying treatment at my second visit. He explained how I could have surgery to remove a bone spur in my neck and gave me alternative treatment for a few sessions and I am pain-free (except when I swing my grandson around). I now make a monthly visit to keep my cervical area decompressed. After my latest appointment, I asked Dr. McMillen to suggest a decompression unit for my home use and he agreed to research some for me. Later, I called to inquire about the reliability of a brand name of decompression equipment for my home use that I found. Dr. McMillen personally took my call and advised me that the manufacturer was reliable. I am very happy to have found such a personable and effective Chiropractor. I am glad to see him monthly rather than experience surgery.

I've used it for months.. He kept pushing so much I had to leave. They are known not to do anything. Insurance companies don't cover it because the science doesn't support it. It's mostly a high-profit treatment with weak proof. A lot of chiropractors use decompression tables because: * They can charge cash (no insurance). * Sessions cost $50-$150 each, often sold in packages of 20-30 visits. * The machine looks high-tech and impressive. But the actual medical benefit, according to real research, is small to none.
