The local corn was quite a bit higher in price than "NJ corn" at my farm market in PA. Other prices I had to watch and remember what I paid on the other side of the river. But they had an abundance of peaches, and high yield normally means good prices so yes, THAT was a bargain! Their "marked" produce (aka "seconds" or "ripe") is reduced price and was $11.25 for 10lb peck of peaches. It took a month to eat; they kept beautifully in the fridge! Absolutely awesome deal! Staff was friendly young adults, and they even took time to relate to my kid, which was super nice. I will be back when I'm the area!

Today, I was expecting to pick up plants, talk a little and head home. Not only answered all of our questions, asked what we were doing, our plans etc, full tour of everything, met his mom, , talked to one of his sons, showed us around, gave tips, his employees were awesome and knowledgeable. We had a lot of fun collecting them, and sampling the staff under the tent was friendly and welcoming. Tons of parking and not crowded. I messed up and didn't bring enough cash, this is a cash only set up. Luckily there was a Wawa near by and my husband hit the ATM and grabbed us lunch. I would definitely come back to Bills.

I came across Ward's Farm - Pick Your Own Sunflower event on Facebook and it was my first time…read morehearing about Ward's Farm. I have always wanted to go to a field/farm of sunflowers so I decided to give it a try and I am glad I did. It is FREE to enter, you do have to RSVP on Eventbrite to reserve the date you plan to go (obv. due to Covid). It is not a huge farm so there isn't a whole lot to walk. It is great for all ages. You can take your own scissors to cut your flowers - of course I forgot mine but they were prepared & had a basket full of scissors (that they do sanitize after every use). It is $1 per sunflower that you take. There so many sunflowers in all sizes. The owners greeted you as soon as you walk in and they were very nice to us. I would definitely love to go back to their next flower event coming soon (check their IG or FB page for updates).

For us, our visit to the Allen Family Farm is often the highlight of our vacation at the NJ shore. The only issue we ever have is that the hours and days vary based on the availability of the blueberries. Because of this, we have found that we must call the night before we plan to go so that our kids are not disappointed when we get up early (to avoid the heat of the day) and the farm is closed to let the blueberries ripen. We usually pick several pounds of blueberries, planning to freeze some for later, but often end up eating most of them before they get to the freezer.

This is a tiny field of strawberries right on someone's private farm. Even on weekends, it's not…read morecrazy busy, because it's just one strip of land. Strawberry season is open from Memorial Day weekend to Father's Day weekend. Went for the June 13, 2026 end of season strawberries and most berries were over ripe or dried up. Come earlier. We still were able to pick some, but it was all tiny tiny strawberries. They were still tasty, so we enjoyed. All strawberries are $5.59 per pound. You can bring your own basket/container or get a free biodegradable paper bucket for picking. We got two quarts which weighed at $15. No fee to enter the field and pick. No bathrooms on premises so be warned. Would return earlier in the season!
