*Support Local in Rancho Mirage*…read more Opening Day was Oct 6th for The Rancho Mirage Farmers Market... Every Friday 8am-2pm... Met lots of great people & vendors... The highlight for me was listening & talking to Gregg Thomas, Rockin' in the Free World, with brilliant shades of Neil Young...then he dug up some Wildflowers and played me some Tom Petty. There's live music here every week, but make sure not to miss out on Gregg Thomas on the 2nd Friday of every month... Make sure to visit Adam at the Brothers hummus & dips booth -- same products/owenrs of the famous Mothers brand -- my all time fav...and always vegan with no GMO & added preservatives... (Bought 2) If you love homemade sourdough bread & pumpkin bread loafs -- gluten free too -- Jeremy in the LA Chargers hat is your friendly guy & baker...and his charming wife, Manda, sporting Nike sports tops is there to assist him. (Bought GF pumpkin bread loaf) If cheese is your thing, visit cool blue-eyes Greg in the San Diego Padre baseball cap for some special US grade Jersey Cow Milk Cheese... (Sampled & delicious) If you like to salsa & eat Tamales the size of burritos, Carlos is your amigo with lots of great veggie, vegan and carnivore options... (bought 2 chicken) Wanna Juice-it-up? Go see sweet Helena at her pretty pink Juicetini Bar... (Fascinated by her startup story) If you fancy the delicacy of homemade Rugelach, like my Dad & Granny, Maureen is your spunky sweet gal with 6 types to choose from. I'm an apricot dude... (Sampled & delicious) If you prefer homemade Nut Brittle, Sweet Smilin' Sara is the booth for you... (Sampled & delicious) For a healthier sweet treat, Momma & Papa Love are so cool & chill behind their Freeze Dried Candy & Fruit booth for over 30 years... (they had me at Candy Corn) If you prefer candlelight, stop by and say hey to friendly Dylan at his unique candle/soaps/body wash booth... (smelled the sweet aroma) If you appreciate handmade greeting cards & stationary by a beautiful & amazing rising artist, Sarah checks all the boxes & canvas... (Admired her work) If you want to make a fashion statement and appreciate handmade Jewelry, the lovely Shannon is your stylist in waiting at her booth... (Admired her collection) Lots of produce stands and more booths to come as the snowbird vendors arrive back in town.... Starting in November, free Yoga classes from 10am-11am. You read that right ~ FREE ~ so grab your mat & come kickback... Sorry if I left out some vendors, but check the website or give them a call and try to support local... No matter what your thing is...this little Farmers Market located at the beautiful & spacious Rancho Mirage Community Park is a grandslam.

Wow, this is one of the better farmers market that I've been too. There's a few back in LA that's…read moretotally worth it while some are just blah. Well this was my first time here and I was quite impressed. The way they have it played out, from fall to late spring, the market is held outdoors in a parking lot. As it starts to heat up as it does in the desert, the market is then moved inside to another location. I love how that whole concept. Farmers market tends to be outdoors which I love but when it's 115 out, it's better for everyone and all the produce to be indoors. Still have a market but working with the weather. There's plenty of parking right across the street which does have some covered spot as well as the lot that's right behind it. It says no pets but I've seen some walking around. Doesn't bother me as I have a little one. They do have an impressive selection of produces with many vendors. A lot of the same things but you get that pretty much at all farmers market. It's like a maze in a sense but very well organized. Only downfall, I love fresh flowers but there was only one vendor. Good for them as they'll be the main supplier but I do like to have options. Of course loads of fruit and berries which is great. A bakery vendor that has amazing baked good that morning. A bit pricey but really good. Just like pretty much all the market, you'll have your fresh fruit, produce straight from the farm, there's eggs, juices, homemade good, fresh baked items and so on. Going toward the back is where the food vendors are located. Grab some breakfast while you're shopping. They also have some tables set up for you to use. Also live music was happening. It's a pretty great one in my opinion and I'm glad to know about it.

Farmers markets are a great thing to see the fresh items displayed right in front of you…read more The negative is the prices are so high expensive I love the strawberries
