As a doula, Kristen was an amazing support to me and my husband in the prenatal, birthing, and postpartum process. In the prenatal period, she provided a comprehensive overview of things to think about and consider with many helpful resources. She had so many creative ideas to create a memorable and beautiful birthing space, with art and flags containing my birth mantras. I was also experiencing a lot of angst due to a diagnosis late in my pregnancy, for which Kristen provided a lot of needed optimism and positivity, and also helped me think about how to imagine each possible birth scenario with peace. During the actual birth, Kristen was a source of great support with suggestions of switching positions, using the rebozo, keeping me hydrated, repeating words of encouragement, and generally tuning into whatever I needed. In the postpartum period, Kristen was especially helpful when I expressed a bout of intense postpartum blues / anxiety. She came in with a lot of ideas and a listening ear. She also made sure I had sitz bath ready, postpartum tea, and nourishing broth. And, she managed to capture the most meaningful photos of these stages (prenatal, birth, postpartum) that we will forever cherish. I could not recommend her more highly for any and all of these services!!

Most memorable among them was when I visited her during a worrisome miracle pregnancy. Miracle because I wanted a child but didn't cycle regularly... worrisome because the conception and therefore due date could not be determined. My midwife was panicking, and pushing me to be induced, encouraging anything, "even accupuncture" to start labor. (That's not how things work, Michelle.) Anyway, Brandy's care at that time was very soothing, calming and reassuring. Amid an oasis of fear, she gave me peace. I left there feeling like my baby was okay, I was okay, and everything would be fine. Nothing was amiss with my meridians. Nothing was really wrong at all, except my freaking-out midwife. I did end up getting induced because my midwife said she'd quit, otherwise. I didn't know anybody else, was new to the area, and didn't think at the time to just FIRE her butt and find another care provider. And do you know what? Turns out Brandy was right. The baby had been just fine. The attending physician at the birth observed at her initial evaluation - spoken loudly and slowly so that my midwife could understand, I suppose - that our baby could have stayed in the womb another two weeks or so.

He has been seeing Dr Stacy during this time and has improved in many ways, especially nervous system regulation (my fav). I started seeing Dr Kali as she is a Webster certified Chiro and I was about 20 wks along in my pregnancy. We had a healthy pregnancy, labor & delivery. Baby Juniper was positioned optimally & ever since she was 5 days old she has had regular adjustments with Dr Kali. We have noticed the difference this makes as she goes through growth spurts and the teething process. However, you're in VERY good hands here. I see Dr. Kali, and my hubs sees Dr. Stacy. Both are amazing. During the first appointment, they conduct some pretty in-depth tests before they start doing any adjustments. That part was really cool to learn about. Then, they're very careful and attentive when they need to do the actual work. They're also just fun to talk to, and they really know their stuff! Office gals are wonderful, and there's sometimes an adorable French bulldog walking up and down the halls. They also have their super cute kids hanging out at times too! The room was very warm as they had a small heater on the floor but the doctor explained to us that the test works better at about 82* in the room.
