I used to have a lot Chrysler that I had serviced at Ferman' Chrysler. They should have the Chrysler people train the Buick people on estimating, service, and treating customers. I am beyond disappointed with the lack of compassion, accountability, and urgency shown by the service department. This issue should have been resolved back in June, not dragged out over 8 months later into January, I just received a text message stating my long awaited part has arrived. To recap, the problem began on exactly May 19th 2025 when I brought my vehicle in for two services; my rearview camera needed replacement, and my engine light was on due to a turbo malfunction. I was told the part would be ordered and would arrive in about two weeks and that I would be contacted once it came in. Three weeks later, after hearing nothing, I called only to be told the part had been cancelled due to backorder and would need to be reordered. By late June, I still had no updates. I then spoke directly with the service manager, who assured me the part was being ordered and was coming specifically from Charlotte, North Carolina, and would arrive no later than the middle of the week. Once again, when that time came and I called, I was told they were "still waiting on the part." At this point, almost a month has passed, it was nearly the 4th of July, and I could not continue driving my car without risking further damage to my turbo. I was forced to drive all the way to Buick on Hillsborough on June 25th, and that same day the service advisor would not allow me to leave without a rental. After diagnostics, I was placed in a rental for about a week and a half. Just two days later, I received a call stating that my part had arrived. No excuses. No backorder. No issues. A simple order and delivery from Charlotte, North Carolina, the same place I was repeatedly told was the cause of the delay for over a month. I was originally told I'd need the rental for 10 days, but I was back in my car within 5. I truly do not understand what the point was in rejecting me at Buick of Wesley Chapel. If no one wanted to do the job, that should have been communicated honestly instead of sending me off with constant excuses while I continued driving my vehicle with a failing turbo and risking further damage. I am highly disappointed in this dealership and will not be returning for any future service, which is unfortunate because as my local dealership , I have been coming here since high school, and they have been servicing all my vehicles without any issues. It truly sucks to part ways like this, but this entire experience was completely unacceptable. Said he would not charge me for the real charge of $160 for trouble I told him if he changed his mind or just couldn't do this just tell me and that's fine! Said no. when they get he would reverse. I bought four new tires from you guys. I had a relatively newer tire on my Tahoe, so the tech put it in my rear cabin - directly on the carpet. I appreciate seeing a nearly new tire and thinking I might want to save it, but to put it in the rear carpeted cabin and not mention it to me is unacceptable. I found it later as I looked in the rear view mirror. I thought about this act for awhile. Who does that? I decided it stems from a dealer's service department not being sensitive to just how expensive a Tahoe is and how someone might not want a dirty tire on carpet. Worst experience ever. Ferman's Jeep and Buick dealerships are next to each other. There wasn't anywhere to park at Jeep so we pulled up to the Buick side and were greeted by Diego. We told him we were there to see 2 used Jeeps and he said he worked on the Buick side but could help us. Long story - I'll try to keep it not so long. One of the vehicles we couldn't test drive because it was blocked in by another and they couldn't find the key to move it. As we were test driving the second one though, he told us the price online isn't the true price. We didn't have a trade-in vehicle so we needed to tack on another $1,250. Still not a bad deal. And because we were considering our own financing through our bank, Chase or through USAA, he said we needed to tack on another $1,000 because they get kick-backs for using their own financing partners. Still, she liked the Jeep and it wasn't a bad deal. When we got back from the test drive, we sat at his desk and I asked him what the bottom line price would be including the additional fees he mentioned, dealer fee, tax, tag, titled, etc. on each vehicle (the one we drove and the one we were not able to) so that we could compare and see which one she could afford. He basically told us in no uncertain terms, that he wasn't "doing the work" if we didn't commit to buying from him today (this was on Saturday). I told him I couldn't do that without knowing the cost of the vehicle(s) so that we could see if it was doable. He wouldn't budge. If we did not commit to buying from him, he was not going to run the numbers on either vehicle. I was flabbergasted to say the least. Who in their right mind would commit to buying a car, anything actually, without knowing the price???? We didn't even get to discuss the significant cash down that she had because he just wouldn't give me a price of either vehicle. I am not exaggerating either. So we left. Everything happens for a reason though. She found a great vehicle at Bert Smith over in Pinellas County. Super nice salesman, Jeremy, who was happy to provide what I call a "buyers sheet." Not sure if that correct term, but its the sheet that shows all the fees, tax, tag, title, and then also shows what the payment would be if you financed for 48 mo, 54 and 60, etc. You know, it's a shame, because the reason I went to Ferman first before any other dealership (and there were several that we planned on visiting) was because of their reputation. So now they try and come after me for another 600 or so....turns out Firestone said it didn't need a tune up, saving me over 450 and they did the other work for a fraction of the cost....oh did I mention that Ferman told me all the things I needed, but then never did the oil change. My story is so absurd, it's almost not believable. But, sadly it's all true. Purchased a used Hyundai Tucson, signed all the paperwork and walked out with my car. A few weeks later I start getting phone calls from Lorenzo the finance guy asking follow-up questions from the deal I thought was done. Fast forward another week and I was told the deal "didn't go thru" and I would need to return the car in the next 2 days to the dealership. Very disappointed with my experience. Went in one day to complete paperwork for a car. Was told the car would be ready to go the next day. All I would need to do is come and pay the down payment and that would be it. No big deal. Came in the next day and sat and waited for 2 hours and 45 minutes....When everything was already done. When I finally got to meet with finance they told me the down payment could not be a credit card...Wouldn't that be a very key piece of information one should disclose to someone before hand? Or when I was filling out paperwork the day before? Or even the two hours and 45 minutes I had just been sitting there??? Not once was this information told to me. I was sent to the Ferman Buick GMC dealership by Mr. Jim Ferman after telling him I was in the market for a new SUV. Knowing this dealership was close to my house, he put me in touch with Corvin Morris who then gave me some name of the folks at the dealership who could help me find the right car for me. Like many people, I dread the process of buying a new car. And I haven't done it in almost a decade. So when I went in, I didn't know what to expect. But every single person I came into contact with treated me with respect and kindness. I ended up working closely with Product Specialist Aaron Barfield from start to finish. He showed amazing patience while I test drove several SUVs and asked mountains of questions about them since everything was new to me. I returned multiple times to narrow down my decision and then asked my husband to be a part of the process as were applying for the car to be in both of our names. Aaron never showed frustration and never pressured us to make a decision before we were ready. He even showed up some options we had not thought of to make sure we weren't missing out on any deals. We finally decided on a 2015 GMC Acadia and I could not be happier with this car. It is the perfect SUV for our family of three (plus our dog) and has the right amount of cargo space for my career needs (photographer). Beyond being nice, I believe it was Aaron's transparency and honesty that made us want to go with Ferman. We looked at another dealership and we were almost sold (where we know the GM and he's a lovely person as well). But because Aaron was so open about what he could and couldn't do and he didn't waste our time playing games, we wanted to buy from him personally. I don't think I would get this kind of treatment elsewhere and this experience has changed my view on car buying in general. We found a vehicle online. we spoke with the representative on the phone and verified that the vehicle was physically on the lot before we made the trip out to the dealership. Rep set up the test-drive so we went out to the dealership. Salesperson we spoke with could not find the key..we waited for quite some time while he ran around and tried to find the status of the vehicle. Finally he came back and told us that the vehicle had been sold. We asked when it was sold..he said he didn't know, but we truly believe he knew due to the way he wouldn't look us in the eye. It would appear the vehicle had already been sold before we even set up the test drive. We will never go back to Ferman Wesley Chapel. This should never have happened. Unfortunately, car dealerships often get a bad rap and they often deserve them. For followers of my reviews, you know that I set a high bar so, assigning 5-stars to this dealership is recognition of truly outstanding performance during a recent transaction where I traded-in two vehicles and purchased a new Buick. Kudos to Franco Coladonato, Product Specialist (aka Sales & Leasing Consultant); Mike Gledhill (Sales Manager); and Rafael Espinosa (Business Manager). I found all three individuals to be of the highest integrity and customer service focus. They each went above and beyond to make this transaction a success. Candidly, the transaction wasn't without some 'bumps' but I operated in a transparent manner with them, explaining what I was going to do, and asking them how they would like to proceed. They responded in-kind and I believe in the end we secured a win-win solution. An example of what some may consider a 'bump' is the valuation on the trade-ins. When I arrived at Ferman Buick, I was actually not expecting to buy a car that day. So, all I had done was a 'one minute' Edmunds valuation on my iPhone. So, I had a very rough idea where the vehicles should be valued. As things progressed, it became clear they had the ideal vehicle on the lot, and we should look to see if we could reach an agreed business transaction. They had the opportunity to value the one vehicle as I had driven it, and not the second one. Both valuations they gave me (including the sight unseen one) were higher than Edmunds. Perhaps not surprising, but a solid start. Now, they did try to close me right then and there, but I explained that I needed to shop the vehicles and see if I could get more elsewhere. The key here is to be forthright, and explain you want a fair deal and to get that you need some time. So, I left and then did go to a CarMax, another car dealer, did some more research, etc. I ended up with better offers from other parties, but as I had committed to Ferman, I went back to them, told them what those offers were, and in the end they met and actually went slightly better than both of the highest offers I had on the two trade-ins. You can't ask for anything more. They knew that I was simply looking to get the best I could for the trade-ins and they clearly had an interest in both vehicles, so we got to a win-win in my opinion. Pick up of the vehicle was quick and without undue time and nonsensical work. Rafael Espinosa, the Business Manager was efficient, and took us through the paperwork quickly. All-in-all a 5-star purchase experience, and I hope that others can benefit from this recommendation by asking for Franco Coladonato and Mike Gledhill when they go to purchase their next Buick GMC. read more

The sales department is fantastic but this review is especially for the service department. I am 45 and have had many cars of many different brands over the years (Kia, Ford, Nissan, Mazda) and none of those service departments can hold a candle or even a match to the Ferman crew here. From beginning to end of every visit I am always kept informed of the status of repairs and if something may take longer than originally anticipated. Thanks to my warranty I get a loaner car to use if my repairs will take a day or longer. The waiting lounge is always clean and there's free tv, snacks, and soda. The most significant part for me is their level of professionalism. I have had 2 specific service managers who I've worked with--Troy and Mayk--and both are wonderful. In years past at other dealerships I've felt like the service manager treated me like a stupid chick and talked over my head usually necessitating having my father call them to find out what was really going on. I have never felt that way at Ferman. They are honest, up front, and speak plainly. If you live in the Land O'Lakes area and have a GMC or Buick, I highly recommend your next service appointment be at this dealership. read more

Called several times about a car they had listed for sale, the first time I was told I would be called back in 5 minutes. An hour later I called back and was sent to a manager who apparently sent me to voice mail. 3rd time I called I got ahold of a very nice lady who told me the car was in stock and to come on down. I then told her how far I was driving to see said car and she dropped her story and said she better make sure it's there. Twenty minutes later, suddenly it's not in stock. After buying 28 cars in my lifetime, this has the stench of a bait and switch, please just make sure you call and have them make sure the car your interested in is there.
