The latter allowed us to go to the nearby beautiful sandy beach of Zippendorf and shower on our return to the hotel before heading back home. My wife and I went to the beautiful town of Schwerin to watch an open air opera ( Aida) which took place in a gorgeous setting between the magnicient castle, the museum and the opera house. We stayed 2 nights at this hotel which is about 10 minutes drive to the center. The room and bathroom were very clean and functional, we were at ground floor level so we could virtually park our car just in front. The buffet breakfast was great. In fact it was just perfect for the price.

So we spent the night there. Very clean and no frills functionally furnished room, but small. No air conditioning. OK, we thought we could manage with opening the door to the balcony to let in some cooler air during the night. However, the room was facing onto a yard and so did many other apartments! On the balconies people were merrily talking and drinking, through the open doors you could follow the different TV programs, German TV is mostly horrible! When we closed the balcony door, our room got stuffy fast, so we had no choice but to take a sleeping pill and turn on our noise machine app. We got through the night alright. But if you have a choice dont come here on a hot summer day/night!
