Unfortunately, we spent our money elsewhere and found ourselves making due with a pretty beaten down fence since we moved in. But after about the 15th time where some boards just fell down, we decided that it was finally time. I walk my dog a lot through the nearby neighborhoods and every time I see a super nice fence that really stands out, it's always a Redman Fence. And I've had Redman bookmarked on Yelp for years because of the great ratings. So maybe this wasn't the smartest decision, but we had Redman come out to give us a quote and the next day and quickly opted to put down a deposit without getting a quote elsewhere. When I've mentioned to people how much our fence cost, the reaction is usually that we paid a bit more. That may be so, but I think it was worth it for three reasons: 1) The quality of the product is top notch. 2) Reliability of the installers - they actually showed up when they said they would every day, which is a rarity in this industry, sadly. 3) They offered financing for a low fee. I'll nitpick here and mention a few things I didn't love, just to give the full spectrum of our experience: 1) We were told by the owner that it would only be one day that our fence would be down before the new one would be up enough to keep pets in. That ended up not being true at all - the project started on a Monday and by the end of the day on Thursday, the perimeter with the other houses was secure enough for pets, but our gate was the last thing to be put up, which did not happen until the following Monday. Now that I've seen a fence install from start to finish, the owner quoting us "one day" was very unrealistic. 2) The guys cleaned up a bit, but also definitely let some trash scattered around. They also left some yard debris and it would have been nice for them to either take it or at least offer to put everything in our yard trash can that was sitting empty in the backyard. That's really about it, though. Overall, the product turned out great. The installers were here every day but Sunday and they'd work from around 10:30a-5:30p, seemingly without a break. It was about one month from the time we put down a deposit until the install began. The quality of their work is top notch and I'm really happy that I will not even have to think about my fence for the rest of the time we live in this house.

The fence staining itself turned out acceptable. The cleanup afterward was poor. I found paper scraps, a three-foot steel pole and two steel lids from five-gallon stain buckets left in my yard. I didn't see one of the lids before mowing and ran over it, damaging my mower blades. I never contacted them about that and was willing to let the cleanup issues go in light of them providing a free gallon of stain but they never provided it. Leaving those things in my yard was very sloppy workmanship. My biggest disappointment was the follow-through afterward. Myles had promised to leave me a gallon of the Wood Defender Sable stain for future touch-ups. A couple areas dried lighter than the rest, and I even told him I would do the touch-ups myself if they didn't darken so he wouldn't have to come back. For more than three weeks I contacted him several times. Initially he repeatedly said he would drop off the stain, but never did. Eventually he stopped responding altogether. Not only is this poor service, it's just plain rude. What turned this into a disappointing experience was not only the poor clean up, but also being repeatedly being told something would be done, having it not happen, and eventually being ignored. I need a contractor to do what he says he'll do, or at least communicate honestly when he can't. If getting a promised gallon of stain after three weeks is this difficult, what happens if you actually need warranty service?

Wanted to charge me $500 for a permit of which I found out by the city that a permit was not required. New law passed about 4-5 months ago and this was 2 months ago now that I was trying to get things set up. Then after asking about my permit not being placed, I was told that it was currently being processed. Told owner that nothing was submitted based of contacting the city myself. Then I was told that the person in charge of doing this got too much on their plate so did not full their duty of operations. This has now wasted 8 weeks of my time with nothing to have been started!!!!! Was given an agreement that that they would require 30-50% deposit down but verbally was told no deposit since I was paying cash. Asked 4 times for updated agreement before I got it. I was also told that I was going to be sent documentation for financing if I changed to pay that route instead due to emergency damages/issues from Tropical storm Debbi. Still to this day, I have not received it. Finally, was told that owner was going to come to my location to look at something again for a placement of a gate and still to this day has not shown up. Last but not least, owner appears to never want to answer his phone. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE FOR SERVICES. LUCKY FOR ME, I NEVER GAVE THEM A PENNY AND HAVE NOW MOVED ON TO A NEW LOCATION.

I had to take him to court in order for him to uphold his warranty and to admit that the product was defected, I had to battle with him for over a year and finally came to a agreement in small claims court with a arbitrator, through the court. He had to agree to take it down. Even the subcontractor that took it down said the fence product was defected. I have nothing good to say about this company and would never recommend them. Finally after a year and a half of battling, I have the fence taken down my money back only because I had to file a small claims suit against the company.
