I contacted Witt Fence Company to provide a quote for an electric gate for my driveway. I was very happy with how responsive and professional everyone was from my initial call through the installation. The end result was an excellent product. Because of their excellent product & service, I contracted them again to create a rod iron gate for my front porch for my puppy. I highly recommend Witt Fence Company! read more

Had them come out to build a double gate for us and it has been a total mess! Seems not cut straight, nails sticking out different color lag bolts. They came out to repair it and I even left them a drawing of how to build it and they still didn't do it right! Piss poor excuse for a fence company!! read more

Have had them complete several fence projects at two properties. Always been professional, reasonably priced, and provided fast/quality installations. Will continue to be my first call for my fence needs. read more

Extremely professional in every way. Personalized, hands on attention. Great follow-up. Excellent quality. Will definitely use again to complete the rest of the property. read more

Worst customer service ever. It took 4 months to get them to come out to my house to get my gate fixed and it still is not fixed. They never call me. I continually had to contact them to find out what is going on. Just totally unacceptable. No communication and no service. I will never go back to them with my business again. Awful. read more

They were very prompt with their estimate, very punctual with every appointment. All staff was very courteous and helpful

Working with Witt Fencing has been a positive experience. When I originally had my fence put in about 4 years ago, they were the only company, out of the 5+ I called, that actually came to my home to physically measure, see what issue there might have been, and discuss options. Everyone else either didn't return my call or just wanted to give a quote based on looking at a plat map. This time when I called Witt to add a garbage can enclosure, they came out, looked the area over and discussed options. Within two weeks the crew was out here and had it installed. I couldn't be happier with the results and highly recommend using Witt Fencing if you want a quality fence! read more

Witt fence did an amazing job am replacing my fence. Great quality, affordable, and honor their work. I highly recommend this company.

From estimate to finish the service from everyone i came in contact with was A++++. Everyone was helpful, friendly and, most importantly, on time! We even had to have them adjust a gate after install to meet pool inspection code and they quickly came out no questions asked to fix. read more

After asking me to email them pictures of my job (and me sending them a follow up email as well as a phone call) , they just dropped the ball. Never heard back. read more

Witt was our choice for a recent fence replacement. They did such a nice job. They were fast friendly affordable and neat. Great job!!

Unable to give 0 stars. In the last quarter of 2021, I had gotten two estimates for fencing my yard but the two were drastically different cost estimates and each company offered pretty similar fencing options. This caused confusion to me because they are similar products but massively diff costs. Christmas was right around the corner at that time, so between the holiday and the ignorance I had concerning appropriate cost, this caused me to take no action on fencing in late 2021. When driving home on the January 25th of this year, I noticed a label on the fence at the end of Lakewood/MLK, it showed, "Witt Fencing". I realized the fence has been there for quite a while and looks like it is in great shape still. This caused me to re open my desire to fence my yard, so I made the call at 8:09am to book my reservation with Witt Fencing. Due to their scheduling availability and mine, I booked for today (February 4th) at 10am. I took the morning off of work and planned to get an estimate, and if the cost was anywhere between my last two estimates, we would have been a go for fencing. Exciting news for the pups I watch pretty often! It was 10:15am when I called Witt Fencing to ask if we were still on for today or if they were running a couple minutes late and forgot to call. The response surprised me for a second and then I remembered the lowest reviews I had previously looked at. Yep, just as the reviews said. They don't show up for appointments and only offers excuses as to why they didn't arrive as scheduled. He claims I am not even in their system. He questions me like I made the mistake. No thank you sir. I called the stored number in my phone, the same one I called on 1/25/21 when I reviewed the call history. Is your number 813.671.1995? Yes, then I called you. You failed to keep your appointment with me. You wasted my time and tried to accuse me of making the mistake. You accepted zero responsibility and instead of immediately acknowledging a mistake "could" have been made, you deflect. I am so tired of poor business practices. Everyone has a bad review now and again. We can't make everyone happy, that's just reality. Trying is important though. But this company, they don't even try. I will copy this review everywhere I can. I have the morning off, because I was supposed to have a fence company at my home and I don't. :( read more

They don't honor their word. In September 2017 I had Witt Fence replace my old wood privacy fence. The installation was a few days before Hurricane Irma. The appointment was made around a month in advance, so no one had any idea there was going to be a hurricane threatening Florida. When my install date came around, I said I'd prefer to postpone it until we see where Irma would hit. The representative in charge of my install, Ken, said that if my fence was damaged from the hurricane, Witt Fence would repair it for me at no cost. He gave me his card and said I could contact him with any problems. I agreed to let them proceed with the job. Well, Irma did end up going through Tampa area and my brand new fence was leaning in on 2 sides. I texted Ken some pics to show him what happened and he said I had to call the office for that. I did, and the person said they would send someone out to take a look at the fence when they were in the area. Never heard from Witt Fence again. I called three more times over the next year. I was told they would add it to the "warranty board" and send someone out. Almost two years later and still waiting. Over time, the weight of the leaning fence has caused it to sag even more. I will have to pay someone to repair or replace it soon. It doesn't look much better than the 20 year old fence that was replaced. read more

Found Witt Fence via Yelp. Contacted them by e-mail for fixing our gate in Valrico, got a quote within 24 hours, and the part was ordered and installed within a week. Great customer service and turn around time. Went above and beyond by not only repairing gate but also servicing it. read more

Witt Fence is in a class of its own - 5-star all the way. They did a total fence build-and-installation. Given my high standards - sadly, many Tampa vendors rarely make the cut - I met several providers for the job. However, from the time of the initial meeting (Randy, who set the initial appt. was courteous to a fault) to completion, Witt set the right expectation in terms of price, delivery and installation. And the fence was truly a masterpiece - as Ed Witt, the owner, promised - visually stunning and solidly built. I highly, highly recommend these guys. Thank you Ed and team. This job was done in December of 2016. read more

I am very pleased with the product, price and service provided. In fact, I could not be happier with the service I received. EVERYONE I interacted with was friendly, professional and they did a beautiful job on the installation. They site was cleaned up and the tear down hauled away with absolutely no debris left behind. I have already given this businesses info to others considering a fence and will continue to do so. read more

Not happy with my fence as there are gaps all along the bottom - 6 inches or more. The ground is not level which is why we didn't go with home store sections. They just made sure the top was level. Definitely not dog friendly! read more

Mr. Randy Garvin proved exactly how unprofessional, rude and deceitful he is and subsequently lost a potential customer through his actions. I really do not understand how such a highly rated Angie's List company failed so miserably. I called during business hours on a Thursday and left a voicemail. Mr. Randy Gavin returned my call four days later, the following Monday, and left me a voicemail. I returned the call about an hour later and after an individual answered the phone, "Witt Fence Company," I simply asked with whom am I speaking. Randy again said, "Witt Fence Company." I said yes, of course, but what is your name? Rather than stating his name, Randy then replied with, "What is your name?" At this point I asked myself why is he being such an unkind person but I gave my name and questioned why he is not able to give me his name and he said "I told you, this is Witt Fence Company." Unbelievable. I then asked if I am indeed speaking to Mr. Witt, to which he replies, "Yes." I then ask if his name is Rod (because that is what I thought he had said on my voicemail) and he said, "No," to which I said I would call him right back. I then listened to my voicemail again to get the correct name and to confirm that it was the same voice. Indeed it was Randy Gavin. At this point he was not only rude in not answering a simple question but he lied to me about being Mr. Witt. I called back and he again answered the phone and I asked him if his name was Randy and he said, "Yes, what may I do for you?" I explained that I did not understand why he was so unwilling to provide his name and he replied "If the caller is unidentified then we do not disclose such information."and then asked, "Who do you represent?" I told him I already told him my name (by the way, my number is not blocked or private or unknown caller) and what I represented was a potential customer until his shenanigans. I was completely dumbfounded. I was hoping to have a beautiful perimeter fence installed by a company given so many high ratings on Angie's List and instead I get Mr Randy Gavin being, well, you make your own conclusions. read more

This is the second fence we have had installed by Witt Fence. The estimate was spot on. The crew arrived promptly and got to work right away. The paperwork they had for the job provided all the details we asked for at the time of the estimate. The guys had the old fence down and the new one up in no time. They took time to measure, plumb and level all the boards and it shows in the final product. It is beautiful. The crew was very friendly and kept my husband occupied for the 5 hours they were here. They did a great job cleaning up too. I will absolutely call them when the other fence needs replacing. read more

Just installed a new gate and fence panel for us - great customer service from the first phone call with Randy to the completed installation done by Lorenzo and Ken - they were great! Me and my family have used this company many times over the past years and always get good prices and great service! Highly recommend! read more

I moved to a new house last year and after leaving messages with a couple of companies and not even getting a call back, I called Witt fence. I couldn't be more happy with the fence. We did a 4 foot pressed point black aluminum fence in the front with a gate operater and a white "plastic" fence in the back. He gave me a fair quote and even gave me bigger posts in the front because he was out the smaller ones without charging me more. We scheduled a time a few weeks out for the fence to be installed because the gate is custom made. He added an S on the gate because of my last name. When they came to do it, most of the fence was done the first day and they finished the gate operater the next day. I was out of town for the weekend and came home to a beautiful fence that was completely done! The gate operater is awesome and has worked perfectly for almost a year now. We've been so busy with the new house I'm just now getting around to giving them my review. He might not be the "cheapest" but if you want it done right, I would highly recommend him and his team. He shoots straight and is fair on pricing. read more
