We moved to Fellowship Village in 2020 and now, in 2022, we are even happier that we made this choice. Life here has everything a person could wish for. We've taken full advantage of the many opportunities to make friends and to become involved in the community. The Management Team is very responsive, the food is great, and the living is carefree. This is truly an environment in which we can fully enjoy our lives.

Dont judge a book by its cover. Fellowship Village looks beautiful, and the amenities may be nice for independent living but I do not recommend it for short term sub-acute rehab. My 90 year old mom was there for four weeks after a long hospital stay. Sometimes she waited over 40 minutes just to go to the bathroom. The aids never ask if there is anything else that she need, they walk right out of the room as soon as she is back in her chair, often forgetting to give her her call button. Instead of helping her get back to independent living they got her dependent on diapers. The physical therapy wasnt all that great either (they did not do too much). The food is horrible and my mom lost 15 pounds after the first 3 weeks without anyone saying anything to me. Oh and the showers, my mom got a foot fungus. and it took two weeks for her just to get her first shower. They sent her home without having a shower in 10 days. Like others said, there are a few nice people who care, but most don't. I saw the aids hanging out in an oversized closet so that they cant be found when paged. read more

My sister moved with her husband to Fellowship Village in September of 22. seven months later her husband passed and she decided to move to get closer to family. She moved September 23. In the year that she was there she lost $113,000 (26) of her entry fee and is owed the balance of $321,974. It is now mid December and still no reimbursement, even after being told by the business office that we would have it by this date. Fellowship Village is worse than a Ponzi Scheme read more

I'm grateful to recently have spent 20 days, the toughest physical chapter of my life, at Fellowship Village sub-acute rehab in Basking Ridge and could not recommend it more. I was brought in on a stretcher following a nasty fall, walked out 20 days later (with the aid of a walker, ordered by Fellowship Village staff) due to the consistent encouragement, patience, expertise and healthy food so generously provided at Fellowship. Admission process was fluid and easy to understand/navigate, Fellowship Village worked seamlessly with the hospital to make transfer arrangements. I was quickly settled into a lovely, spacious private room with a large, spotless bathroom and a big window with a pretty view of the grounds. When they visited, my family was very comfortable in the room as well as the lounge area. A mini fridge/freezer was helpful when I didn't finish a meal as I could store it for later. The kitchen staff was fantastic and accommodating so I often had extra dessert in the fridge. The facility itself is immaculate - cleanliness is the priority without a doubt. Once I was able to sit in a wheelchair and go outside, I greatly enjoyed the lovely grounds, which had a healing effect. Additionally, I felt safe at all times. Transitioning from bedridden to walking could not have happened without the dedicated, expert PT/OT team: they were consistently encouraging, patient, understanding and yet firm in their assurance that with my effort and cooperation, I would get back on my feet. I was never rushed, but I was strongly urged to push myself forward. The Nursing and Care staff is professional, cheerful, attentive - very good at their jobs; also, highly respectful of my personal dignity while attending to my needs. The on-staff doctor was proactive and caring. She worked with my existing medications and provided helpful suggesting that will provide life-long benefits. She also took time to listen and respond to my questions about my care and medical conditions. The staff Social Workers managed so many things for me efficiently and effectively while I was at Fellowship. Anything I asked of them was handled quickly and carefully including both transitions in and out of the facility. Fellowship Village rehab's manager's office was right outside my room and any time I needed help with something, she provided excellent advice and assistance. Weekly meetings with my family and the heads of Nursing, Nutrition and Social Work allowed me to understand a clear path forward. Communication among staff, me and my caretaker daughters flowed easily; questions were answered, and concerns were responded to resulting in not one surprise throughout my time at Fellowship. Food - an all-important aspect in emotional and physical healing - was terrific: personalized, delicious, and nutritious. Staff who prepared my food seemed to take great pride in their work, and it showed. The PT facility is remarkably well-equipped and appointed as well as clean. It was an easy place to be. Also, the time allotted for PT/OT was consistently generous - I never felt rushed. PT/OT staff - the heart of Fellowship Village rehab - were uniformly experienced, enthusiastic, kind-hearted, encouraging, professionals. They were proactive, empathetic, and sympathetic yet persistent with showing me how to improve. They were also so encouraging and appreciative of my effort. Their recognition of how hard I was working made it easier to strive forward. I will be forever grateful for their help. Submitted on behalf of my sister, Kathleen Law read more

My Mom was a resident of Fellowship Village independent living for 3 years. Then after a fractured hip she was moved into an Assisted Living room There are not enough words to express how wonderful her care was. Mom was there for 4 years, she survived Covid. I truly believe she survived Covid because of the amazing care she received in skilled nursing. The communication between FV and family members is great. It was moms home away from home. We never had to worry about her. We could sleep at night, knowing someone was always there for her. FV is a beautiful neighbor hood of caring people. The library, theater, physical therapy facilities, Bistro, pool, and activities are great. There is something for every resident. when my siblings and I went back for a memorial service it felt like gong home. We will be forever grateful that Mom chose Fellowship Village for her final home. read more

Completely overrated, understaffed, hired extra help for my mother at night, persistently late, some no shows. The CEO is never seen in the assisted living part. My mother injured twice, completely FV's fault. Doctor comes in only once a week, I could go on and on. FV executives simply care about money, typical nursing home operators read more

***WARNING*** Documented elder neglect. They do not hold up their contracts and attempt to nickle and dime you. Residents are left in filth with their Drs appalled at their condition. No bathing, teeth brushing, incomplete changes of clothing, infections galore...Fellowship village has had too many chances to correct their errors and have admitted guilt and negligence. This is my hometown, do not send your elderly here to slowly die in filth and neglect. We all deserve better. read more

My mom stayed her for about 20 years until she passed. Not a caring place. There were a few good people that cared there but the rest were horrible. During covid my mom was told she couldn't ether hair washed. She went months without getting her hair washed. I finally found out and complained and he hair was washed within hours. We probably spent close to a million dollars there to have our mom treated poorly. Go elsewhere. read more

My grandmother lived at Fellowship for many years and it changed her life. She started in her own apartment, and as her own abilities decreased, her care increased. At each stage in her life plan, she was giving the appropriate care, yet still able to socialize and enjoy the many activities and services at Fellowship. She loved the music classes and her grandson (my cousin) even came to perform on the piano once! I loved to stop by for lunch or dinner, in addition to dropping by her music classes. Fellowship provided my grandmother with the assistance necessary to enjoy her life and family. Most importantly, the staff each play many roles, from security and guitar player, to activities coordinator and friend, because they are passionate about their work. The staff and residence at Fellowship made this place her home. read more

Mom and her whole family are so happy she chose Fellowship Village (senior independent living) when she moved from Florida in September 2021. She has expressed how she felt welcomed by the friendly helpful staff and residents. She's met friends and is active in the many activities (senior excercise classes), events (from plays in the theater to Sunday bingo), and convenience of taking the shuttle to Sunday Mass. The on site heath center (with her doctor), rehab (PT, OT), prescriptions delivered to her apartment are all great blessings. It also gives mom and is peace of mind that continuing care options are available on site if she should ever need them. It has exceeded our expectations. read more

When my mother was 90, I moved her from Chicago to Fellowship Village Senior Living. Prior to the move, Mom was becoming less social, losing weight, and not attending to her appearance as much as in the past. Within a very short time, she blossomed in her new Independent Living apartment. She looked forward to meeting friends for dinner, which inspired her to dress up more. She put on weight and lost that frail look. I would credit her new outlook on life to the socialization with the residents, the friendly and doting staff, and an astute geriatrician who changed her thyroid medication. Mom lived in Independent Living for over 12 years. When she seemed to need more help to remember to take her medications, keep her apartment at an appropriate temperature, and arrive at the correct time for appointments, a lovely, senior woman on the staff called me to say it was time we thought of moving Mom to Assisted Living. She is now in Memory Care, and has been for almost four years. Yes! My mom will be 106 on her next birthday in two months! What I always tell people is that many places have wonderful, up-to-date facilities. It is the staff, however, who creates the homey atmosphere. I have no doubt my mother's primary Care Partner loves her. She washes and styles her hair, gives her manicures, chooses a pretty outfit, and completes the job with makeup and jewelry. My mom can't really do anything for herself now, so she (and I) rely so much on the goodness and conscientiousness of the staff. A nurse is on duty 24-7 and is an integral part of every resident's day and night. The Care Partners assist one another if a resident needs extra help. There is a Neighborhood Coordinator who keeps all the pieces of the puzzle together. In addition, the kitchen staff makes a variety of meals from which the residents can choose. The staff knows the preferences of each resident inside and out: What they like to eat, whom they like to sit with, which chair they like best, who seems a bit down on a given day, etc. The Life Enrichment staff brings activity in the way of live music, art, current event discussions, as well as conversing about past moments in history. On holidays, everyone seems to pitch in to decorate and serve special meals and treats. Memory Care has its own Christmas tree, which is decorated by the residents and staff at the annual Christmas party. The families are invited, and I can vouch for the party being fun, lively, and joyful. Once a week, for those residents who choose and are able, there is a bus ride through the area that lasts about and hour, or so. A year ago, my beloved husband joined my mother in Memory Care. Their rooms are right next door to one another. I live in NYC now, and the round trip drive is not ideal. Still, I could see my husband nowhere else but Fellowship Village to receive the same loving care as my mother has enjoyed for years. A family atmosphere prevails among the residents, their families, and the staff. We are encouraged to call at any time with questions, concerns, observations, etc. With having my mother and husband at Fellowship Village, I am in very frequent contact with whichever staff member I think can help me. And I'm never made to feel as if I'm interrupting. read more

My wife and I really like Fellowship Village, especially dining in the Bistro. The social environment is wonderful. We enjoy the Saturday Night movies. One star for how clean and new this facility and second star for the health care workers there. No stars for the rude case workers there (Yolanda) that worry more about going on vacation than they do my mother. After four days of rehab they wanted to move her out, since she wasn't meeting her goals. Goals she could not meet while she had a Urinary track infection (that they couldn't fix). As soon as UTI was subsiding she did a 180 and case worker wouldn't even acknowledge this and was rude. When I called the case worker out on her rudeness, she immaturely spoke to other family members about me. I do not recommend if they keep this admin there. Cold uncaring people. read more

We are so thankful to the fellowship village rehab center for the care of they have provided my father Gerald Beaudry. He suffered a stroke and then had to navigate through a life threatening infection. Thanks to the care of the doctors, nurses, nursing assistance, physical therapists, occupational therapist, speech therapists and the rest of the team he is nearly at the point of being able to return home. I greatly appreciate this loving and caring team. read more

Fellowship Village has been a dream come true for our family. We moved our mother from Rancho Palos Verdes, CA to this facility in September. Fellow residents were saying that it is like going to college, where you don't necessarily select a place that you can go with your own friends, instead, you have to pick a place that is best for you and your family. Everybody has been so welcoming, and helping her get settled in that within a month, she was feeling so comfortable and truely believe that she is in a very best possible place. Many residents have been there were like 20 years, and still very happy, and I think my mom will be like that. With good food, great healthcare, social and volunteer activities that she is keeping herself busy with, andhave wonderful neighbors who are all taking care of each other. The facility is beautiful, and have a great structure in place to take great care of all their residents. My friend's father passed away earlier this year after 12 year stay, and they took such a good care of him, all through the difficult pandemic period. And her mother is still staying so active in the community, she often tells her grown children they don't have to visit as often due to her busy schedule. Susan read more

I am surprised to see an overall rating of 2 stars for Fellowship Senior Living. As I read the other reviews, I see that the more negative reviews are quite old. Much has changed in the past number of years. My mother moved into Fellowship Senior Living 5 years ago. She moved in as an Independent Living resident, and at the necessary time, transitioned to Assisted Living. The staff at Fellowship has always placed my mother's needs first when making any care decision. The Life Enrichment Coordinator knows my mother well, and will recommend appropriate activities/trips if she has not already signed up to participate. The nursing staff is compassionate and thorough, they know my mother's likes and dislikes, interests and idiosyncrasies. Fellowship is updating their facility by implementing the new industry model of residential households. This smaller community will greatly enrich my mother's experience, allowing her to engage more regularly in tasks of daily living. I am grateful for the resources that Fellowship has put into the property to implement this improvement. From the user perspective of a caring family member, I couldn't be happier with my mother's choice to live Fellowship Senior Living. read more

My mother transitioned to heaven peacefully on August 2nd at our home in West Orange surrounded by her loved ones. Fellowship At Home- Meaning Supportive Care was a wonderful support to my family. They were on time, attentive, and professional. They were kind knowledgeable and compassionate. In addition to the Fellowship services we had hospice care from St Barnabas RWJ/VNA.They provided a team of caring individuals which included a nurse, social worker, pastoral support and a home health aide .Unfortunately the Hospice Home Health Aid was not in place when we needed, so thank heaven for the Fellowship HHA services providing the additional coverage. In addition to being flexible to meet our family's needs, Fellowship sent a nurse to assess my mom in an effort to provide the comfort care she needed. I am so grateful for the service and the care we received. I was also impressed on how the agencies worked together for the good of the family. I highly recommend this service. Doing the Lords work. My last review was written some time ago. Since then, my experience has been very positive. The facilities are excellent. The campus is beautiful and expansive. We will soon have a magnificent cultural arts center where we will be able to walk to outstanding Broadway quality stage shows and concerts. We have top quality health medical and rehab services. I have visited many CCRC's in NJ and in my opinion, this one is the best. read more

It's not that It took additional time for my moms death certificate to be changed. I was flat out told it could not be done by two of your staff members. They couldn't even provide me a phone number so I could contact the doctor myself. I was put on hold for over 20 minutes at one point, hung up and called back to get voicemail and not have my call returned yet again. This went on for 11 days. The only reason I was able to get this changed was because my funeral director was somehow able to get the doctors phone number so I called that and finally they were able to help me. Do not try to spin or defend this. Just say you are sorry and do better with other people's families read more

My mom is currently a resident in the assisted living unit at Fellowship Village. My complaint is with the higher-ups who seem to be concentrating on creating new features that will attract new residents rather than on the care of residents who signed on years ago thinking they would remain valued members of the community even after they were no longer able to live independently. My main complaint at the moment is with their timing of a move of about half of the ALU community to new quarters. This move has been scheduled for the week before Christmas. They claim that FV staff will move the residents and that family members need not be involved, but I'm not about to leave my mom and her possessions at the mercy of the maintenance staff. I believe that this decision was made in the interest of saving money to the detriment of the residents involved. read more

Fellowship Village used to be a quality facility, but lately has lost its focus and desire to make the happiness and welfare of the residents its top priority. They are currently undergoing extensive renovation, but in the meantime the current residents are left with nowhere to congregate and inadequate dining space. Many of the residents choose to bring meals back to their rooms rather than try to find a seat in the make-shift dining hall. For several months now, social interaction has been much more difficult, with even the urn of free coffee being removed. Management seems unresponsive to the residents' concerns, and keeps saying that they only need to put up with it "for a few more months." That is a reasonable line for someone who has many years ahead of him or her; not so much for someone in his or her 80s or 90s. read more

I can't imagine why this place that has such seamless care for seniors would only get two stars. Aside from the current large construction project, Fellowship Village has been the perfect spot for my Mom. Nena and the sales staff are so helpful during the initial stages of decision making. The Medical Staff are remarkably organized, smart, kind and helpful both to me as the primary caregiver and my Mom. The doctors who are there several days a week are remarkable. Dr. Varghese has been wonderful to us. The food is delicious and every staff member in the Bistro goes out of their way to accommodate every resident. We spent months researching and investigating where my Mom should spend the last chapter of her life. Thank goodness we chose Fellowship Village. I could not be happier with our decision. My Mom is safe, happy and will be taken care of no matter what obstacles get thrown her way from this point forward. read more

Fellowship Village is an absolutely amazing community. My grandma is my favorite person in the world and I was very worried about her moving in there alone a few months ago. But the community has welcomed her so splendidly, and she is taken care of very well by the staff. Her apartment is great and perfect for her needs. The facilities are beautiful and the food is highly impressive (I've joined her for lunch a few times and would happily eat every meal there). Beyond there, there are also constantly events and activities for the residents - everyone seems busy and so engaged in the community. What makes the place really special though is the staff and the residents. I feel so at ease knowing my grandma is being looked after as well as she is - they make everything so easy for the residents in terms of doctor visits, safety, even the system for paying for food! I was nervous she would not be able to figure things out on her own but everything was made so easy for her. And the residents have been so incredibly welcoming - the community is so strong and everyone has treated her with such kindness and generosity. I would recommend this community to anyone! read more

I moved here in 2015; and, apart from marrying my husband, it was the best decision I've ever made. I'm close enough to my former home to be able to keep up with friends there, & it has been easy to make friends here. Residents have been very welcoming; & abundant activities of all sorts help bring people together. At the same time, you can be as solitary as you choose; there's no pressure to do anything. The staff, in all departments (very much including the health care staff), is outstanding. We're given a lot of food choices at every meal, and almost every dish is excellent. The negative reviews here are puzzling to me, so very unlike my own experience, but I can't speak about what this place was like before I came. read more

CAUTION!!! They tried to rip off my mother's estate for $10,000! They told the executor of my mother's estate, my 90 yr old aunt, that they were owed almost $5000. My aunt wrote them a check. Many months later my sister was going over the finances and come to find out when push came to shove Fellowship said oops we owe you $7000. This was 9 months after my mother's death! There are still questionable charges that happened after my mother's death. After repeated calls for clarification and promises someone higher up would look into it we gave up because compared to $7000 it was not worth it. The staff is 5 Star. From the housekeepers to the kitchen staff to the nursing staff everyone we met were awesome, friendly and cared. BUT get any of them alone and they will tell you how awful the administration is. When I visited my mother during her 3 year stay it often felt like the Stepford Wives or Truman Show, but the residents were always friendly and seemed to be having a good time so it may have been my bias. read more

The other review mentions the dining facilities, which by now, I believe are completed. However... the food they serve is perhaps the worst I've ever been served ANYWHERE! It's gone downhill consistently over 10 years. It's even worse than the dreadful elementary school hot lunch of yore. As a guest today, at the dinner price they charge of $19... I was served thin slices of gray beef (called prime roast on menu) that was really inedible, covered with a white so-called horseradish sauce which was vile. Served with brussel sprouts (previously frozen, then overcooked into mush) and so-called 'smashed potatoes' that were instant and a 2 oz cookie scoop size! No wonder my mom has no appetite, and has lost 30 lbs. since Christmas. FV got $350K up front for the investment to live in a duplex home (back in 1999), and also charge over $2K per month maintenance. For what? For so-called nursing care when you need it? I'm sure if $350K was wisely invested in 1999, she could have lived independently in a townhouse for $2k a month, and had plenty of money 10 years later for private nursing care. And my mom's nurse call-button hasn't worked for nearly a week! How can someone be left helpless in a room like that? I always get the feeling, when visiting, that they try to be overly attentive, but I wonder how they are when I'm not there. Mom has a very good aide now, but so many other aspects of FV are sub-standand. Especially the food/nutrition, and from observation, I believe they are understaffed on weekends. I would not recommend this place. Too many negative experiences for a place that was supposed to provide 'high-end care'. My friend's mom gets better care in a Veteran's nursing home. read more

This facility has seen better days. My parents have been residents here for many years now and there has been a steady decline in the quality of services provided. Since the new CEO has taken over it seems that the facility is solely focused on increasing revenue on the backs of the residents. They continue to push their home care service on you at nearly twice the fee of some other agencies available. They make it seem like it's your only option while residing at the village. Then the aides were showing up late and the nurse in charge could never be reached when needed! If not for the nurses in the skilled unit my parents would have been left high and dry. Don't be fooled, you do not have to use their home care service. Believe me, they are solely out for the money and the nurse in charge of the program is extremely unorganized. You'd be better off shopping around. read more

I am writing a review of 3 stars because I went there the other day inquiring about services for my parent and the 2 women I spoke with were very rude. One of the ladies, whose name I read to be Omnia, continuously spoke over me as I asked about certain information. The other was very hostile towards me, her name read Marni. I didn't know the reason for the hostility towards me. I later spoke with a nurse, by the name of Lisa, who came by my apartment to assist me and I found her to be very polite and helpful with the information I inquired about services. This is something that needs to be looked into. Again, I do not know the reason for the ill-mannered behavior but I hope to never come across anyone as inconsiderate as the 2 women I encountered. read more

Where to begin with Fellowship Village, This was the biggest mistake that we made in agreeing to the terms at the beginning. You buy your apartment for $300,000 + with a payment of over $4,000 a month , after 2 yrs they are now making my grandmothers live miserable , she is unable to hire her own personal caregiver which is cheaper Fellowship village forced her to hire Helping Hands so she had to let Sherry go who was also ALOT cheaper. After Helping Hands messed her around so often sending different aides who don't speak English well she was told that now she need to move to assisted living, her friend is not allowed to bring her food from the bistro according to PHYLLIS TRANNOTTI , her friend cannot do anything for her anymore. My grandmother did not sign up for this , and I am thankful; she has decided to hire an attorney to deal with the mis treatment, She is NOT the only one complaining either I hope it will be a class action LAWSUIT , from bullying to violation of the hippa privacy act. PLEASE do NOT send your loved one there, they are so false smiling etc , and agreeing to everything when you sign your contract , and then the pure GREED shows and watch out for that liar PHYLLIS read more

My mother was in Fellowship Village skilled nursing for almost eighteen months from late 2005 until her death in 2007. My father and I were so impressed with the organization that we didn't hesitate to move my father to independent living after my mom passed away. He has now lived there for more than four years and on several occasions has required skilled nursing care subsequent to a health event. I have nothing but respect for the administration and staff at all levels of care. We have experienced many challenges, seen lots of changes, and expect more of both as my father lives out his life at FV. Of course the facilities are lovely and well maintained, but the real test of an organization is the response when things are stressful. From simple inquiries to emergencies, my father's needs have always been met with urgency and respect. I have never regretted the decision to have my parents become residents of Fellowship Village. I urge anyone who may be interested to visit the campus and talk to the residents and observe the interaction. NOTE: I have serious reservations about the integrity of the YELP "filter". I was very disappointed to see two very negative comments (one is more than two years old!) prominently displayed and fifteen very positive comments (three written in the last twelve months!) are "filtered". I almost missed the small and light gray "filtered comment" noted all the way at the bottom of the page. I urge YELP to review and reevaluate the algorithm used for filtering comments. At the very least, the note regarding additional "filtered comments" should be more prominently displayed at the TOP of the page. Please! read more

When my parents first moved to Fellowship Village ten years, they were very happy with just about every aspect of the place. Now, however, emphasis seems to have shifted from the well being of the residents to the convenience of the management and efforts to be competitive with similar facilities. My mother finds the food bland, uninteresting and repetitive. She commends the chef on his efforts but realizes that his budget is so tight that his hands are tied. The weekly menu reads like a public school cafeteria menu from from the 1960s. Staff members who were particularly helpful to residents have been let go, and it is now difficult to get any satisfaction when requesting assistance. Costs continue to rise, with no consideration for what is valuable to residents. I'm sure many would have preferred better daily fare to a putting green that no one ever uses. The newest plan is for a giant theater in which residents have no interest. Clearly, the motive is to attract outside organizations who will pay to use that facility. Perhaps a portion of that income can be diverted to the food budget. My mother now wishes she could move to one of the competitive facilities, but she cannot afford to do so. read more

Thank you for your comment on April 8, 2014. At Fellowship Senior Living, we truly value the feedback from those we serve and their families, as we are constantly seeking to enhance the programs and services we offer. We seek to incorporate the feedback of our residents through various resident committees and the resident association council. We opened our own home care agency over two years ago to expand the continuum of long-term care services that we offer and to fill the gaps in aging services being offered in the area. This would provide our residents with an in-house option to support their desire to have extra help when and if they needed it. However, as with all of our services our Residents have the right to choose to use us our someone else. We encourage everyone to conduct their own due diligence especially when hiring outside agencies and private-pay individuals who may not follow the same high-standards for hiring, training and monitoring their staff. Our home care agency, Fellowship Helping Hands, provides our residents with another choice from a familiar face with all the required certifications and screening processes. All of our aides are NJ certified home health aides and are supervised by a full-time Registered Nurse. They are required to undergo a strict hiring regimen which includes an ever state background check, a drug-screen, a complete physical and two-step tuberculosis skin test as well as professional and personal reference screening. Additionally, our aides are covered under Workers Compensation and are bonded. We require that all of our aides participate in a minimum of six in-services annually. In addition, they attend a dementia sensitivity training course that teaches them advanced skills when working with clients with dementia and Alzheimer's; the fastest growing disease in the elderly population in the US. Our rates are highly competitive at $21 hourly and $190 day for live-ins. Unlike outside agencies and private individuals, who require a three to four hour minimum, we offer our on-campus residents the option of a one-hour minimum per visit to meet their needs. We follow the Best Practices for NJ home care agencies and are committed to providing the highest level of standards to all those we serve and strive to meet the needs of all of our clients and their family members both on and off campus. read more

Three years ago, my husband and I moved to Fellowship Village. It is a wonderful community administered by Fellowship Senior Living, and we were overwhelmed by the warm welcome of both residents and staff at our new home. We have enjoyed making many new friends and sharing marvelous dinners together in the formal dining room and Bistro. During those 3 years the spectacular new theater opened, with a wide variety of plays and musical programs, classic and current movies, educational programs, lectures and community events. We have a new state of the art health center... that I hope we do not ever need to use but it is good to know it is there... a new living room, library, store, and multiple rooms for meetings and social events. At the end of August an amazing new bar/lounge will open. All this as well as acres of beautiful maintained grounds to enjoy on our daily walks. However, this March, all these terrific benefits to living at FSL, were challenged by the Covid-19 pandemic. The reason I am writing this review is that we are so grateful to the staff and administration at FSL for their very early and total response to the challenges of Covid-19. They were way ahead of so many senior facilities in imposing restrictions and safety measures that, we are convinced, saved many of our lives. Yet, though the restrictions were strict, the staff offered many ways of mitigating our isolation thorough out the weeks - multiple exercise programs from ball and balance to Tai Chi to chair exercise, lectures, musical presentations, interviews, movies, religious service, medical... well, you get the picture... something for everyone. As NJ opened up in stages, we now have outdoor dining every evening and social distancing programs in the new theater. In other words, Fellowship Senor Living has made our Covid-19 experience so much better for being residents here and we both are very grateful that we made the decision to move here 3 years ago. read more

Moving into Fellowship Village was the best thing that my parents ever did! While they were living in their house I watched their world become smaller and smaller, with friends moving away or dying. Once they moved into FV their world blossomed with new friends and adventures (day outings, multi-day trips, lectures, concerts, performing play readings, etc.). Each of my parents are or have been on resident committees and have worked with the administration regularly on a wide rage of topics. They have found the administration to be responsive to the resident's in-put. My parents enjoy the formal dinning room, complete with wait service, as an alternative to the informal cafe. During the renovations of the cafe and other social spaces, the staff of the formal dining room has worked very hard to accommodate more people in less space. When I have eaten with my parents in the dining room I have been very impressed with just how accommodating the staff and kitchen are. I have complicated dietary restrictions and every meal I have eaten in FV -- dining room and cafe -- has deliciously met my needs and was served with a smile. I am very grateful for the supportive nature of the FV community. When someone is in need, there is always a neighbor or friend to lend a helping hand. My parents, at different times, have been on both sides of this equation. read more

We moved in to Fellowship Senior Living in September 2017, so this is the first review in several year. We are very pleased with our decision to move to FSL. The residents and staff have been extremely welcoming and we enjoy the strong, warm social life in the community. The quality of the food is excellent with many choices in both the Bistro and formal dining room to meet any taste. It is very helpful to have the nutritional breakdown for entrees when making a choice... and I don't have to clean up after meals! Our new home was completely redone to our taste and we love the spacious rooms. I am a walker and have found great joy in the natural beauty of the paths that wind through farmland and gardens surrounding FSL. We are very excited to watch the building of the new Cultural Arts Center and the large expansion of the health center as well as all the interior changes that are being made. FSL is a very exciting and vibrant place to live. The only down side is the 5 pounds I have put on with all the delicious food. read more

The renovation Fellowship Village had undergone in the past year has improved the quality of the food (incredible bistro with Starbucks, brick-oven pizza, salad bar, gelato, private dining, etc...). Fellowship Village's residents have a voice in all the changes and upgrades. I recognize that change can be difficult for many people so I understand how Martha may have felt back in February. Fellowship has one of the highest staff to resident ratios, a truly wonderful and compassionate staff, highly capable senior management team and a CEO with incredible vision. The relationships extend beyond Fellowship's doors. The staff and residents donate plenty of their free time to serve the surrounding community, support one another in times of tragedy, and follow their Mission and Core Values. What an incredible resource! Don't take my word for it...call, drop by and judge for yourself. read more

We have been visiting my father in-law at Fellowship Village since he moved there 5 years ago. It was a very nice community when he moved there and it just keeps on getting better. In addition to being exceptionally well-managed, with beautiful woodwork and residence entryways, varied and well prepared food choices (don't hesitate to ask for larger portions when you visit, though you will probably be offered that without asking - they know us younger folks have bigger appetites), they are expanding dining areas, just opened a home cluster design of expanded assisted living units. On top of all that, the grounds are beautiful, the desserts delicious (the apple turnovers in particular) and an endless list of activities that many residents take part in. read more

I have worked at Fellowship Senior Living for 25, yes 25 years! If it was not a great place to work I would not still be here. I love working with and sharing good times with our residents. Fellowship Senior Living is very focused on providing high quality care and services and a family atmosphere for all of those we serve on and off campus. I brought my aunt here from Pennsylvania for rehab from a hip surgery because I knew we had an outstanding rehab team to get her up and going again and I had 24 home care from Helping Hands for my mother in my home. Quite a testimony I would say. read more

Moving my Dad to Fellowship Village was one of the best decisions of my life. The environment at Fellowship is upbeat, positive and energized. My Dad thrived at Fellowship, making more friends than I could possibly keep track of, both with neighbors and associates of Fellowship. The facility is wonderful; the employees are caring and generous with their time and attention to each of the residents. I believe that Fellowship is a truly unique environment what I have and will continue to refer friends, relatives and neighbors to consider as they make their own choices. read more

My wife and I after being at FVSL for 1 1/2 years feel very much at home. We have made a number of friends by just randomly sitting with others at lunch and dinner. Also, participation in some of the usual social and administrative functions have further developed those relationships. I am a DIY type person and their workshop has kept me feeling as though I can still be productive; e.g. like rebuilding a favorite stool by re-doweling its four legs. It's the residents, staff, and administration being so open and friendly is what makes us feel at home. read more

Wonderful place to live! I've been a resident for 21 years - we moved in the second day Fellowship Village opened it's door - and it's the best move we ever made! Friends, fellowship, fun - along with the management displaying great concern for each resident, great medical care, real sense of safety and security, and sensitive caring and help in a time of difficulty in my life when my husband passed away. I thank God every day that we made the decision to come to FV. I tell all our friends to come to FV and enjoy a happy and secure life. read more

I love living here! I never anticipated the wonderful friendships that have developed since I arrived. I have a beautiful home, I enjoy eating in the Bistro never knowing which friends I will run into or what the topic of the evening will be. The are plenty of activities, we have a wonderful new professional theater, so we don't have to leave campus to see professional performers. We are excited about the brand new indoor-outdoor lounge which will be open next month. read more

My husband and I came to Fellowship Village when it first opened back in 1996. Over the years, we have been ever grateful for the many new friendships we've made. We are also grateful for the changes in the dining facilities, knowing that after 15 years, improvements are important if management is working in our best interests. Numerous interest groups and activities offer opportunities for us all to continue to make new friends. HGM read more

There are very few times that I will bother leaving reviews. But I have to say, I witnessed Margaret Klein abusing an ill patient while that patient was dying. What an awful human being. She works in the marketing/intake department. If you want your loved ones to be emotionally abused in their final moments, put them in this hell hole. read more
