It is a small restaurant located on a corner but it seems to always be busy and with good reason. The server comes to your table to get your order, and you often have to go back into the restaurant to pay directly to the cashier before taking your seat again. The food comes fairly quickly and along with a variety of salsas and pickled carrots and jalapeños. The meat was flavorful and tender and juicy and the condiments that were piled into the torta made the sandwich ooze with flavor! With every bite, you could hear a crunch of the well toasted torta. I literally can hear it as I type this! Would highly recommend - and can't wait to be back.

This was one of the places that I heard was highly recommended and I was not disappointed at all. The service wasn't super friendly, but it was FAST. Menu is small and straightforward. On Tuesdays tortas are 50 MXN. It was very sizeable for the price and absolutely loaded with meat. I got the carnitas but they had other options. They give additional salsa, onions, limes, and radish on the side, in addition to a HOT salsa (use sparingly). It was delicious and the meat was tender and flavorful. Beers are also 2x1 on Tuesdays (48 pesos). Not sure if they take card as I paid in cash. Would absolutely go back. Super tasty and cheap.

As a tourist visiting El Centro de Guadalajara its a great place to go get lunch. My personal experience with the service was fantastic. Our server was very helpful, friendly, and attentive. As far as the food it was simple but delicious. I ordered a traditional "lonche" which is equivalent to a medium sub sandwich with chicken. The presentation of the lonche was very well executed. The bread was nicely toasted, chicken was cooked well, and the combination of sour cream and mustard made it taste out of this world. Its a good place to visit if you want that authenticity of Mexico. For 4 people with 1 traditional and one non traditional plus drinks came out too 244 pesos which translates to USD 19 to 20 dollars (rough estimate not sure exactly). Definitely a place to try if you're visiting Guadalajara.

When I come here, I don't bother with anything else and get their most traditional and original lonche de pierna. This will give you the experience of just how well these traditional lonches are made throughout Guadalajara. Tapatio establishments are so good at making these, that you seem to get juiciness, and meat, all the way to the last centimeter of the sandwich. Don't you just hate it when you order a sandwich type meal, and at about the last inch of it, there's no more meat, and hardly any other flavors, just shy of an empty piece of bread in your hand? Well, you won't get this here, unless someone screwed up royally in making your lonche. Come in. Sit down. Order the lonche de pierna tradicional. Enjoy. You're welcome.
