As a patient seeking help for pain, communication matters. Before my appointment, I tried to confirm the details but did not receive a clear response by email, text, or phone. When a medical office is difficult to reach before you are even seen, that raises serious concerns about how responsive they will be once you are actually under their care. After receiving no confirmation, I contacted the office. When I did not receive a confirmation of the cancellation, I called a second time and left a voicemail message canceling my appointment a second time. Despite that, I was later billed as a "no show", which is unacceptable. If the office fails to respond, fails to properly confirm an appointment, and then fails to process a cancellation, the patient should not be penalized for that breakdown. I cannot speak to the doctor's medical care because I never made it that far. But I can speak to the office experience, and it was poor enough that I chose not to proceed. For anyone dealing with pain, the last thing you need is added stress, unclear communication, and billing issues before care has even begun. This experience left me with the impression that the practice is more focused on collecting fees than making patients feel heard, supported, and properly cared for.

I. WAS. NOT. got pissed off as anyone would be for the accusation and told everyone in the building i was drunk and to end working with me. then would not even LET me drive home. sent a fucking UBER. took my keys and wouldn't let me have them back!!! WHAT THE HELL. i went to my doctor afterwards and asked them to draw my blood to see if there was any alcohol in my system. none. had to come back in the next day to get my keys. everyone at the front desk were whispering about me and giving me disgusted looks. and mrs zilinski never talked to me blatantly ignoring me when i tried to speak to her again about it. and brushed me off and walked away. that is the most unprofessional thing i've ever seen from a LICENSED professional, who is a "psychologist". assuming and accusations based off their actions towards the situation. I absolutely recommend the neurologist side, but NEVER go to her. i am absolutely appalled by the way i was treated by her and the childish behavior and comments she chose to unprofessionally spoke towards me. 0 stars actually -10 stars for what SHE chose to say about me with a literal doctors confirmation that i was sober. im extremely sad and angry still 6 months later than i cannot see them anymore because of being accused and mistreated by her. on another note: intensive care therapy treatment for ONE week costed me $10,000 so imagine the TWO weeks to be treated for my 7 different diagnoses i was given all at once in august that means i spent $20,000 for the neurology team to help me get better results... one appointment with mrs. zilinsky on the psychological side costed me $350-425 and i saw her twice. unbelievable it's almost like she just wanted my money instead of being the role she played being a "professional" before she kicked me out and still required me to pay for the appointment that i barely was 15 minutes into. They emailed the forms to fill out before my appointment, be prepared to take some time to complete. In the waiting room I met an elderly woman who adored Dr. Burroughs and assured me that I would "love" Dr. Burroughs. I was taken to the exam room and the medical staff informed me a medical student was shadowing Dr. Burroughs and if it was ok to see him first. I had no problem with this because we need good doctors. He was very nice and I provided him with my MS history. He taught me some things and I educated him about my MS symptoms. Afterwards, I met with Dr. Burroughs and he was wonderful. He asked many many questions about the symptoms I experienced, my medications, and life with MS. I felt he really listened and got what I was saying. He examined me and explained about my physiological symptoms in a way I could understand them more easily. He explained things better than my previous neurologist, who I saw for 2.5 years and specialized in MS. He was concerned about me not having insurance and provided me with ideas on how to get financial assistance for an MRI. Towards the end he asked me which medications I needed a prescription for and told me to contact him if I needed refills. Afterwards, I was nervous because I was told that the cost would be $100-300. Yikes. Total was $262 because I was a new patient, but I got a 30% discount because I paid in full. My wallet didn't like this, but its time to shop for new health insurance. The assistant explained that the fees after this visit will be substantially less. Since I won't see him too often, I was prepared for the fee. Overall Dr. Burroughs and his staff were awesome. My healthcare provider sent in a referral for a neurology appointment, and when I called to schedule the scheduler refused to help because I had a certain diagnosis on my chart. Even though I explained that I wasn't seeking care for that particular diagnosis, but needed further testing, they insisted that the "clinic wouldn't be the right fit for [me]". Wholesale refusal of care based on one diagnosis (which is in and of itself neurology-related) is discriminatory and unacceptable. The people making decisions around who to see and who to shut out should be ashamed of themselves. It's difficult enough to deal with chronic illnesses without medical gatekeeping. Disgusting.
