She was quoted under $200.00. When she arrived at her appoint ment today. The office was incapable of opening the email with her x-rays and told her that will be another $200 plus. She will need to have the doctor look in her mouth for another $100 plus. So the cleaning will be over $550.00. We had used this office before with great results, and found out today the office was sold since December and have now policies. Ww will not be using the services here or returning. Steep, but we want to take care of her amalgams safely so we figured it was worth it. She arrived for her appointment six minutes late and was told to wait in her car. She wasn't brought in until 30 minutes after her scheduled appointment, the dentist spent under 10 minutes with her and said "you don't have that much metal in your mouth" before leaving the room. My mom asked for the treatment plan and costs and the front desk staff said they'd have to talk to the dentist who was now unavailable, so my mom said to just email her with it. The dentist gave her no details about mercury amalgam removal, what it entails, why it's important, and what she could expect. Nothing. It was an enormous waste of time and money. Feels very much like an office consumed with making money, not caring for and informing patients.
