The ordering, the pager, the sitting down, the waiting, the picking up one's own food, the up and down and back and forth, to me, impacts the experience. Want another glass of wine? Back up to the counter, wait in line, pay, take it back to the table. It kinda sucks to be honest. Prices are fair- for a full service resturant, which this isn't. It's 47 degrees farenheit today and the soup warmed me to the core. Es ist lecker!!!!! So good! My eyes were bigger than my stomach so I also ordered the Große Scholle im Duett (flounder and shrimp). It comes with a side of potatoes and hollandaise sauce like I've never had before. It has something in it that I didn't expect. I can't quite explain. Less lemon that I'm used to and something aromatic. I don't exactly know what it is but it's unique and delicious. I wish I could have another stomach to eat everything because it's amazing. The waiter is nice about my terrible, broken German. I've read it's amazing to sit inside and choose your fish and watch it being cooked but I'm good with the patio-it's delightful out here!
