My best friend had recommended it, and she was right, it's a great base for actually experiencing the city, not just passing through. I looked at places in Palermo but the hostels there were way more expensive, and honestly downtown felt more central and lively than I expected. Classes were genuinely fun,lots of conversation practice, some games, and occasional outings where you actually get to know your classmates. I made a few friends I'll stay in touch with. The building itself is nice, but I ended up spending most of my free time on the rooftop terrace when the sun came out. Teachers were consistently good, and the staff were friendly and helpful from the start, it never felt like a faceless language school. Would recommend, especially if you're serious about putting in real hours and want to be somewhere with a bit of energy around you.

I was disappointed, I lacked confidence in them, and they didn't do what they said. They are bad at communication, so this may be tricky if you want to take an online class with them. It primarily specializes in working with people who want to improve their Spanish. And this is where I'd be if I were more than a rare visitor here. What drew me across the street was the cool selection of used books (in English and Spanish) and a eclectic choice of second hand clothing (both inside and out). Such a pleasant and wonderful school with professional teachers!…read more I signed up to take 10 weeks of class at Coined while in Buenos Aires and I can see a great improvement already, and still have 3 weeks to go! The teachers are all very skilled, patient, prepared and friendly when it comes to teaching Spanish. The class sizes are very small which makes each class very productive. I have rotated teachers every week which I also find very helpful to my learning. Everyday after class, the school sponsors an after school activity to get to know Buenos Aires, and if you are traveling alone, like me, this is particularly helpful. They are very flexible with scheduling as well if you have a conflict that comes up, they are cooperative to make sure you still get your spanish hours in. I have loved every moment of my time at COINED and would recommend it to anyone that is traveling to Buenos Aires looking to improv their Spanish, whether it be for one week, one month, or two months!
