What a fun sandwich shop! It was my first time here and I was given a full run-down of the history…read moreof the shop and where they source all their ingredients. The staff is so friendly and made me feel like I already belonged. Fun music too and lots of seating available. For sandwiches, I got Mike's Classic and my partner got The Godfather. When we went to pick up our order from the counter, they threw in some extras since it was our first time. Such an unexpected surprise! The potato salad - wow. I'm not even a big potato salad girlie but the dijon mustard in there was *chefs kiss*. I will definitely be getting that again. The macaroni salad was also good. My hoagie was somehow light and filling at the same time. The melted cheese melted my heart. I will be back again for that ooey gooey deliciousness!

It's true that this is the closest thing you will get to a Philly cheesesteak short of going to…read morePhiladelphia, or maybe Inky's in Easley, or if you aren't super picky, Jersey Mike's can scratch. But these guys do make a BIG swing and a BIG hit. First off, customer service. Justin waited on me and asked right away if I was a first-timer, which I was, and at the end of a quest to arrive here. And so he gave me the layout in the menu, the NJ flown in Liscio's bread, and the Cooper American cheese and shaved sliced beef. It's the real deal and it does travel well, at least for 3-4 miles back home. It's a 10 inch sub, there are many options. I went classic. But check the pics of menu items (the Mort looks great, Mortadella coma?!) But the classic will fill. And it is tasty. Simple, authentic, tasty. That's why we are here. And the friendly customer guidance, beyond any expectations, when anyone is at the counter, they are recognized if regulars, acknowledged if first timers and the center of the universe for the counter man, (in this case, Justin). And, a couple of Dum-Dum lollipop treats for the wife who abstained for today. The sandwich was a hit. It's a bit expensive, but I understand we just beat a line out the door crowd at 11:15, so plan accordingly. I'll be back. Must try other items too. Beer and soda available. Worth the trip if authenticity is your bag, baby, if not, there's always Jersey Mikes, but support local, man! Get with the Harry's groovy and tasty vibe.

Benefit of the doubt, giving three stars because I really would like to see the concept of…read more neighborhood NY deli succeed. But these guys don't really know how to make a decent sandwich for the value. Sorry, its a price/execution problem. I did come back and try the Reuben. Not even close to the top five in town or even, maybe, top ten with Arby's beating them out. Arby's has a pretty decent Reuben, but best in house right now is probably Select in Greer followed by Greenfields Deli. (By default that both The Cafe at Wilson's Hardware in TR and Bacon Brothers closed). Back to the review. First visit, Italian Combo, see review. Very light on the meat side. Second (this) visit with my son, I had the Reuben and he had the Italian Combo. Both with chips and a drink came to $39. Yep, you read that right, which is fine if the sandwiches knocked your socks off. But, the Reuben was disappointing. The bread was lightly, lightly toasted, no butter. Sauerkraut was very light and I really couldn't tell if there was any Swiss cheese on this sandwich. The meat was also warm outside, but cold to center. The meat portion was not well proportioned to the sandwich overall. It was decent, but not even close to the $12.99 price tag. I can't even for certain say that all the basic ingredients were there much less the execution. So, I love the guys. Very friendly. Love the story. But, please, rethink how to make a sandwich for this price. Yeah, I have been to NY and eaten at plenty of NY deli's, so put that card back in the deck. It's not only overpriced, but under-executed. For context: same meal at Jersey Mike's (Italian #13 Regular) with chips and bottle of water is $14.34 including tax. Harry's Hoagies is $11.80 for the 6 inch. Publix (Boar's head just like C & C, whole Italian sub) $9.59 for the whole sub. Even today, Chick-Fil-A - #2 combo, large drink, medium fries and an extra eight count nugget, $16.33 with tax.

The subs are amazing!!!!! Where did you go to? You will be missed very much! Please reopen!read more
