The people that operate the FedEx location in Newton are the most lazy and incompetent people I've ever encountered.. They have a set of tires I purchased on 2/2/2026 With a guaranteed 2 to 4 day delivery.. & they have been sitting in a warehouse 1:30 away from my home. For 6 days now..according to the tracking number.. Tracking information told me to expect them 2/4/2026 to 2/6/2026 & every day since the 4th they have been labeled as delivered by the end of day.. The 4th came & went.. No tires.. Then the tracking said Will be Delivered by The end of day on the 5th .. Nope.. Then the 6th .. Nope.. Then the 7th.. Nope.. Now it's saying delivered by end of day on the 9th .. & FedEx customer service can only tell me that they'll be there today .. Every day over & over & over..again .. So people out there,, If you can avoid doing business with these degenerates, I would highly recommend that you do.. Avoid them!! read more

I understand that FedEx does a pretty good job in certain parts of the country. But not here the Newton office has had trouble for decades and there is no signs of change. I would suggest that anyone in the north Northwestern, North Carolina area, utilize UPS or US mail if there's even a hint of whether activity in the forecast and even then with perfect weather, even then it is likely it will get screwed up. read more

If i could give less than 1 star, I would. Horrible, customer service, they had no answers! I have been waiting on a package for 3 days now. The package has been in Conover, NC possession for going on 4 days now. Every day it says out for delivery, online. I speak with a representative and they say its out for delivery. Ridiculous, we could have driven to the distribution center and picked it up had we known. 3 days and still no package! ***Update: day 3 it is supposedly back in Georgia again not due for delivery until tomorrow! Ugh So frustrating I just want my merchandise! And yes I have let Walmart know what is going on, hopefully if enough people complain they wont use them for delivery's! read more

Terrible business, ordered my package 2 weeks before Christmas. Originally was supposed to be here Dec. 21st yet it doesn't show up and no update. Have to register with FedEx corporate to get a response. Told it will deliver the 23rd. On the 23rd status says out for delivery. 23rd came and went no package. 24th out for delivery again. Didn't show in the estimated window so I called and after going through automated phone hell I speak to an actual human the lady that assured me it would be here by 9:30pm. Called at 11:20 told well they're really busy so they just went back to the hub. But "they're hiring more people" so that'll fix everything after Christmas. TERRIBLE COMPANY AND WORKERS. If I could give less than one star, I definitely would! I have had multiple packages try to come through them, and they either lose the package or it's delayed! They also had poor customer service and did not help me with anything. My package was supposed to be here this morning and then by 4 pm, it stated that it would be delivered by 8 pm tonight,t and not even an hour later they stated that it would be delivered the next day by 3 pm. I used to work for FedEx so I know how bad this company be... I'm waiting on a pretty expensive package to arrive! Just a PS5... no big deal right? Estimated delivery date is Tuesday Sep 6. Kinda sucks because I have a 4 day weekend thanks to Labor Day but I won't get to enjoy my ps5. I watch the tracking like a Hawk and yesterday I noticed my package is at the local shipping center! That's great! Maybe I'll get my package a few days early! No reason why they wouldn't ship it today when I'm only 8 miles away right....? Wrong. No delivery today... not even an attempt. I try to call but of course there's no local number just a stupid 800 number and those are always helpful. I try to request if I can just pick it up cuz like I said I'm only 8 MILES AWAY! It would take me less than 20 minutes to get to the facility. I'm pretty sure I'm okay with a 17 min drive to avoid waiting 3 more days... "Sorry they're already closed" at 2pm... 2 IN THE AFTERNOON?! Why?! (I called at 2:30 by the way) I missed my window by 30 min... now I have to wait a whole 3 extra days because you people didn't even attempt a delivery today when my package arrived the day prior giving you all the prep time necessary. I understand that Monday is a holiday I do. But there's no reason why y'all couldn't deliver today on Saturday. Here's the thing... it's a gaming console!! They don't do well in extreme weather conditions. Now my ps5 has to sit in a warehouse for 4 days... When I have to ship FedEx, this is my place. Occassionally we end up with last minute packages that have to be shipped FedEx and it's too late to schedule a pickup in Statesville. That's when I get in the car and drive to Conover to drop off the package. Hours are right and the staff is always helpful and make sure my package(s) are checked in properly and ready to go. read more

My son has Crohn's Disease. He has to take injections once a week. His medicine ships express overnight via FedEx. This medicine is temperature controlled. FedEx has screwed this up so many times. I've had to go up there several times and figure out where his medicine is. It's very concerning that they can't even get an express overnight package delivered correctly. I was told my delivery date was Thursday June 1, by end of day. Nothing delivered. Then told it would be Friday, June 2 by end of day. Nothing. Now it is saying "out for delivery" on Monday June 5 by 8pm. I mean, that's a pretty big time frame? They can't narrow it down or pinpoint a little better? Worst Fed Ex Delivery branch in the entire state. Because of my work schedule I'm almost never home when they try to deliver. I have no one else around to sign for any specific package. I try and leave a note on every expecting package with a time I'm able to be here to sign for it. They have never respected my requests and always come first thing on their route. Delivery says between 8-12pm, well they're coming at 8o'clock on the dot. I have had five plus packages that have required signatures and have had to wait three whole days from the initial delivery date set because they can't work with the customer. if the package is supposed to come on a Friday and they miss you, don't expect them to come on a Saturday. They'll wait til monday to try and deliver when I'm back at work. Also their stupid Fed Ex pick up location doesn't work. I've had it set that if they can't get a signature to leave the package at one of those locations. Guess what, never have they ever dropped it off at one of them for me to pick up later. Worthless. They call but can not give a local call back number. I end up talking to reps who can not put me through to the locals. Then I get a voicemail because the representative that I spoke to did not effective/accurately relay the information to the local hub. Their customer service is terrible. We are a small business that receive and ship packages 5 days a week. This is why we avoid FedEx Express at all costs. UPS is amazing...much easier to work with and much more dependable. read more

Worst shipping center ever. Spent two days on phone with 800 number trying to contact this shipping center. They were supposed to return call but when I answered they hung up. Had to call 800 number again, talk to different person and they tried to transfer my call to shipping center but no one answered. This person told me he would have them call me back. Did not receive call. Called again this morning talked to yet a different person who said it stated on the record that they spoke with me. I never will buy anything shipped through FEDEX again. This office in Newton is the hub for shipping in my area. They said they delivered a package to my which, which they didn't, then they inferred we were lying. Now a month later we get a package on our porch that isn't ours, we called to have them pick it up for re-delivery, after speaking with the India office, then the Mexico office, I finally got a supervisor. They scheduled a time for pick up; however, they never showed. What's happening to FedEx? They use to be so reliable. It's unfortunate. read more
