Hired this company to serve a summons on a Monday. Spoke to Billy on the phone. Send him a Paypal…read morepayment and then send him two emails with a copy of the summons. Called them the following Monday and they tell me that my email was in their spam folder (Why does your business have email folders that you're not checking?) And now that they see it, they will attempt service. The NEXT day received an email back that they received my request and payment. (Over a week has passed already.) Two days after I received the email I send them another email asking them if an attempt has been made (this is 11 days after hiring them). I don't get a reply. The day after this, I called them on the phone and Billy answered the phone. I asked him for the status and he told me he doesn't know and will call me back shortly. Doesn't return my phone call. 15 days after they have been hired, I request a refund from paypal. I then hired and paid another company. PayPal refunds my money and on the same day I get an email from Billy telling me that they're in fact was a successful attempt to serve the papers. So, I send them their payment back in an attempt to be as Fair as possible and cancel the service with the other company. I receive an email back telling me that they returned my money AGAIN, because once I have put a stop on the order, they do not proceed. I'm certain this is just some cockamamie nonsense he made up on the spot because I called him out on his incompetence. So, not only did they not even try, but they only told me they tried after I have pulled my money back. And not only did they not succeed, but by telling me that there was a successful attempt, they prevented another company from succeeding as well. Why would you tell me there was a successful attempt unless you wanted to get paid? I don't understand why you would tell me that there was a successful attempt after I've taken my money back if there is nothing you're willing to do for me with that successful attempt and payment. If I didn't know better, I would say this guy is intentionally wasting my time. And he's probably going to do the same with your time. I tried to be as fair and as patient as I can be with these people. At one point, I even told him that it was 2 weeks since they receive payment and Billy had the nerve the correct me and tell me, "yeah, but we only saw it a week ago."...as if that's somehow my problem. With as easy and as fair as I tried to be, I got nothing but mouth I'm return. Then he sends me an email telling me that he's been doing this for 38 years. Well, if you can't serve your purpose within 2 weeks after being hired, it doesn't matter if you've been doing this for 100 years! Hire these people and the word "incompetent" will echo in your head for days. Be ready to receive no service, but all the excuses. And don't expect any kind of customer service. You won't get it.

Got hit with another $2000 court fee that I don't remember hearing about, for a total cost of $7000 to file the 6-8 documents that the court required. At nearly $1000 per page of information - which we had to already provide, seems a steep cost for their efforts. Not only was this was a lengthy (over 18 month) and expensive endeavor dealing with the additional legal issues was very draining.

I emailed Peter on 10/28, 11/1, and 11/2. In addition, I left two voice messages with persons answering the phones at his practice on November 2. I got an email from Peter on November 3, telling me to reach out for an appointment "one day the following week". So I called AGAIN to make the appointment, and the lady answering the phone said he had lots of availability before then if I was interested (so why would he tell me to make an appointment the following week??), so I booked an appointment. But you cannot just confirm an appointment on the phone; I had to use his online scheduling system and chose a free time. Ok, fine. But he then declined, despite appearing free, then he didn't decline or accept the next appointment I had to make using his online scheduling system!!! I then called, and my call went to the front desk. I placed four additional calls from my mobile to his office throughout November, as well as a couple of calls from my landline. I wasted hours over the course of more than one month trying to get a 10 minute call with Peter, which never happened. What's crazy is while he and his firm could not get back to me, throughout this time, they were SOLICITING ME to use him for estate planning services!!!! SERIOUSLY?!?!? Dude, it's the DC area. Everyone is busy. If you cannot get back to someone for a 10 minute follow up call in over a month, have the decency to say so - and don't solicit that person for further business. By contrast, I was referred to another attorney who did real estate work who got back to me in 24 hours, easily set an appointment, then gave me the answer I was looking for and then some in 11 minutes.
