It took a few months to write this review since the loss of our almost 17 year old cockapoo Oliver…read morehas been extremely difficult. We miss him so! Dr. Shleyfer had been coming to our home for almost 2 years to care for our elderly beloved family member. He'd examine him, cut his nails, administer steroid injections, and prescribe meds to keep him comfortable. We are so grateful Oliver did so well for almost 2 more years. Dr. Shleyfer was kind, caring, professional, and available. Oliver's condition unfortunately deteriorated; and, Dr. S helped us gently determine when it was time. He came to our house and allowed our precious Oliver's last moments be in his own home surrounded by family. I was able to hold him in my arms as he fell asleep. It seemed as though Ollie figured Dr. S. was just coming to check on him as he did over the last two years; and, thankfully Oliver was not nervous or upset. He laid peacefully in my arms as he transitioned. I'm so grateful we found Dr. Shleyfer to care for Oliver in our home. My family and I highly recommend Dr. S. and his veterinary services. If and when we are ready to welcome another furry family member we will certainly be contacting Dr. Shleyfer. Thank you again Dr. S.!

A friend involved in fostering animals gave me a number to this mobile vet because I was set on not making her afraid during the last moments of her life. Dr Shleyfer arrived at my home and sat down with me to talk over my decision and explore any alternatives, I did not expect someone to care about my cat like he did. I could tell he took it personally, and wanted what was best for me and Koala. He gave me time to sit with her and say good-bye. He let me hold her and comfort her through the whole thing. I cannot put into words how he handled everything. One day I will take another animal into my home, and Dr Shleyfer is absolutely going to be my veterinarian. I can't speak highly enough.

About 2 years ago we switched from one local veterinary clinic to Family Pet Clinic in Southampton…read moreand it was literally the best decision we ever made as far as our pets were concerned! Everyone there is very pleasant and friendly! The staff are amazing! Dr. F. was our dog's primary doctor and we absolutely loved her from the start! She is very knowledgeable and an excellent veterinarian! She takes time to explain everything and has sound advice on what should be done with our dogs best interests in mind!! I'd be remiss to say that they are very reasonable with their prices too. I want to also give a shout out to Dr. Spears as well, she saw our little girl Chloe for the last time last Monday and she was exactly the same as Dr. F. in regards to her professional expertise!! Unfortunately we lost both of our babies, Axel and Chloe about 8 months apart but, FPC gave us more time with them then we could have expected so kudos to them!! They both are sadly missed but we take solace in the fact that they both had the best care they could've had by us switching vets and going to FPC. Thank you all for everything you did for our babies and us! We are very grateful for folks like yourselves! Keep up the great work!! Lastly, if you're looking for an amazing veterinary practice, look no further than Family Pet Clinic!!

They NEVER and I mean NEVER answer the phone. And their prices have become ridiculous. You used to get a free nail trimming at every visit. That has stopped. I guess because they can charge for that. We will be finding a new vet. Customer service is a thing of the past.

Dr. Tamara explained the procedure as well as informed us of things that may happen, she helped us get thru until the end. Her assistant was just as sweet and helpful. The office all signed 2 condolence cards they sent to our home, with Charlie's nose n paw print. That was so thoughtful during this difficult time. I have used world of animals for many years, started with them at the mayfair office, and now we go to the bethayres office. They have treated my animals for many years. Highly recommend for all your fur babies' needs

I have been a client at World of Animals at Bethayres for nearly two years. My two senior cats,…read moreRocky and Adrian, have been under the care of Dr. Tamara Borland. I found my way to W of A during Covid. My cat Adrian showed signs of diabetes and she needed testing right away. My vet at the time was booked 8 weeks out, so I called Bethayres and made an appointment a few days later. Dr. Borland ran blood panels and urine tests on Adrian and confirmed it was feline diabetes. Our journey began in December 2020. Since then, Adrian has been in the vet office almost monthly for checkups and testing. Adrian's care under Dr. Borland has been nothing short of exemplary. Dr. Borland has always treated Adrian with kindness and compassion. Her love of animals and her knowledge of veterinary medicine is present during the entire time you spend with her. Whenever I had questions or concerns, Dr. Borland took the time to listen without judgement and offered advice and solutions. She explained things in terms that were easy to understand and I always felt seen and heard. Sadly, Adrian's diabetes took a turn for the worse, and I made the difficult decision to say goodbye. When the time came, Dr. Borland explained everything that was going to happen, step-by-step. She helped Adrian pass away peacefully and without pain. I was able to spend as much time with Adrian as I wanted. The assisting vet nurse, Rebecca (I believe that is her name), opened the window in the room to allow Adrian's sprit to leave, which I thought was so appropriate. That gesture was really comforting. Unfortunately, I am leaving the practice, but only because I'm moving out of state. It will be tough to find a new veterinarian that can fill Dr. Borland's shoes. Nobody will ever be her, honestly, but I'm hoping to find the same care and respect for my other cat Rocky. I cannot recommend Dr. Borland and World of Animals enough. I hope you and your animals are lucky enough to be clients at this wonderful clinic.

He usually saw Dr. Plymouth at his appointments, and it was Dr. Hutchinson who was with us for his euthanasia. Both were kind, compassionate, thorough in their examinations, and honest about our options. The vet techs and administrative staff are fantastic as well. It may be some time before we are ready to adopt another dog, but there's no question about where we will go for vet care.

After my last experience here I will never return. Here's my story. It's a long one…read more I've been coming here for 20+ years, Dr. Rubin is great, however she sold the practice to Heart & Paws & it's gone way downhill since. I loved her care. Also the vet tech Sarah has been amazing with my cats. They are the only two reasons I would consider going there again, but I won't. My cat Samantha had been having issues for about 1/2 year or so, Blood tests have been normal, but she had an ongoing drinking/peeing problem & was losing weight. Otherwise she was fine. She very recently gradually ate less & a day after she stopped completely I bought her in . They ran some tests & Dr. Hutchinson called me back the following day. The first words out of her mouth were "your cat is weird" . Her tests were fine. She called back a few hours later to tell me that indeed wasn't the case, blaming it on the tech who gave her the wrong results. It didn't look good .& she wanted me to bring her back in for IV. fluids, an appetite stimulant, etc. I asked if I could pick up the fluids and administer then at home because I had done it before. She agreed. When I went to pick them up she didn't leave instructions as to dosage. When I asked someone went to speak to a doctor(I think Dr. H had gone for the day at this point) . The person said someone will call you first thing in the morning. They open @ 8;30. I never was called. Strike three. I called a couple hours later & Sarah was kind enough to get me the info. I also wanted to bring her in the following Monday for what I imagined would be her last minutes alive. I had been through that heartbreaking procedure twice there in the past. I wanted to make an appointment, and was told that someone would call me Monday morning to set it up. Never got it and had to call. They told me they couldn't fit her in until Thursday & if she got worse to call back. She did early the next morning & I did. Made appointment for 4:30, but she died in my lap on the way there(another long story. I'll spare you the details). The preceding Saturday when I called to get the dosage, I told Sarah I was displeased with Dr. H & she said she would put me through to Deborah who was in charge. I told her that Dr. H "called my cat weird". She laughed & said that Dr. Hutchinson is a great doctor. That may be, but I beg to differ(see above paragraph) Also, my last two visits were deemed emergencies because they had to squeeze her in. I was charged $135 for the second visit, but the regular fee the first time. When i questioned it I was asked what time did I bring her in. Both times it was a little after 4. I was the told that the doctor had to stay overtime & that I should've been charged for an emergency visit both times. I don't understand why a doctor had to work overtime if they close at 6. I'm sure many have been given great care here & love Dr. Hutchinson. That was not my experience at all. I found her to be very unprofessional. I know that had Dr. Rubin been available( she remains there, but only two days a week) none of this would've happened.

Didn't like that. 1/2 later the doctor spoke to us about his condition. I don't feel like he explained everything to us well. That there are meds the cat could have taken. He had no personality and didn't have an optimistic demeanor. Everything was presented like it wasn't worth the trouble. We asked questions but he didn't offer positive solutions. He made it sound like if you do this you will need to keep the cat here for three days, see a cardiologist, then he'd be on three meds a day. The groups I belong to are wondering "why we didn't fight harder" and my only answer is the vet gave up on us and on the cat. There was no: "here's what we can do, let's try this!" The demeanor was he's doomed, don't waste your time. We did the best we could to feel confidence in him, but we don't think he was the right person to handle our cat. Maybe someone that was more proactive, motivated and didn't leave such a feeling of doubt in us as we walked away empty handed would have been a better experience. Also compounding this with a $1,200 invoice as we walked away without our beloved baby. All of it a terrible experience. The only saving grace was the young lady who handled the paperwork. I wonder what other pet owners think of that doctor.

All this was very reasonably priced. I went in expecting to pay hundreds for medication!! The owner is the vet and he couldn't be more professional or welcoming. He treated my concerns with legitimate care and empathy. My dog still has the odd lump but it is no longer infected and doesn't bother her anymore. Every single time I am calling to follow up on test results even a week after the tests were taken. Shouldn't they be proactive and give me a call and wanting to get the results to me faster? I guess not. They also have administered the wrong test before, which in my opinion is completely unacceptable and put my dog through something that wasn't even necessary. On top of that, they are more expensive than the other vets I've been to, I mean $25 for a nail trim while already spending hundreds of dollars on a visit, you would think they could atleast match petsmarts $12 or even do it as a courtesy for spending thousands a month. This place was great before Dr Klein took over but at this point it's been a miserable experience and need to inform others in the area to not go here and waste your time, I can't trust them with the care of my babies! I will say that Leanne has always been an extremely nice and understanding person and really does care about my dogs and doing the right thing.
