Purchased my pup from Phil in 2004. Trainability was fantastic, extremely athletic, and without a doubt the best hunting dog I have ever had. My Feather Ranch dog has definitely set the standard that I use for my other dogs, two of which are master hunters with numerous Master National and Master Amateur passes. We got a dog at Feather Ranch over 10 years ago. She was a yellow lab. She was always a little off. Never could learn to retrieve properly and a big part of the problem we didn't realize right away, but she had really poor vision. She also had issues with her ears, chronic. She was also really bad about watching for an opening and taking off. She wasn't neglected, she spent most of her day with us, but she just had to bolt. We wouldn't have got her back if we didn't have a big tag on her collar with multiple phone numbers. She was super passive/friendly, but she didn't seem capable of fully attaching to anyone, she was happy to go with whomever. She died at age 10 from kidney disease. She also had parasitic disease when we got her from the kennel and we had to treat her for it. Don't go here they are a puppy mill. read more

We picked up our puppy three years ago April 17, 2008. He is a chocolate lab and he is the BEST DOG EVER!!! When we got there he was running around a huge backyard with is brother. Guinness (that is what we named him) came from Brawler and Brooke and what an amazing set of parents he has...Phil and Debbie were great, they micro chipped him gave him a bath and sent us on our way. Everyone who crosses us on the street tells me what an amazingly handsome dog he is and ask where we got him and tell the Feather Ranch Kennels!!! We will always return to them for all of our puppy needs. They truly know what they are doing and care for the dogs this is not a puppy farm...they are true breeders with much knowledge. I had called on them in the beginning when I had questions or concerns and they were happy to speak with me and help in any way they could.
