Fearless

I've been waiting to do this review because I wanted to make sure I had all the information needed to post my own opinion. This church is a home. This church has everything for anyone. I've been going here for about 4 months with my children and nieces, they recently had their Child Dedications here as well. The Fearless Kids ministry is amazing, hands down, my kids love coming here. The people make you feel right at home, you can tell how much love and passion everyone has. I also attend the X18 service and for me, it's the best part of the week, something I genuinely look forward to throughout the week days. The service every Sunday is always on topic, extremely special and provides me with the strength and faith needed. Absolutely recommend this church to everyone.

Cool neon

I really like this church. After four years of searching for a church community in LA I feel like I've found one. Everyone here is really nice and actually authentic. When it comes to building community, this church nails it. This is a great place to bring someone who doesn't know Jesus. I can't wait to attend events during the week as well as on Sunday. One of the things I don't like is the sheer VOLUME of the audio here... I am a young person who likes concerts and this place is often STILL too loud. I've had my Apple Watch warn me of high decibel exposure during worship. I deal with it, but sometimes it's hard to rest in and feel the presence of the Lord when the volume is far too much. I wish they would play some more quiet/slow songs on occasion but even then it's LOUD. It's like they've mixed for a stadium, when the space does not call for it due to its size. I guess also, because of the type of space that it is, there's a lot of extra noise. I feel for our brothers and sisters with auditory/sensory sensitivity, I don't think they'd be able to attend this church. Also: I love this church and the community it offers but if you're looking for a more thorough Bible study/discipleship/theology I haven't really seen that here yet. I just do the heavier study on my own.

I know God brought me to this church, I moved out of here not knowing how I was going to sustain myself or anything but just knowing that God wanted me to chase my dream as an Artist/Producer in Los Angeles. I was in a dark place when I first moved out here. I wanted to find a church but there were none I could find that just resonated with me. My life changed for the better when God placed fearless into my life. I asked for a church and God gave me a family God is great all the time

They are not doing God's work at all here, they are actually breaking down people and sending people away from God. They call themselves Christian's here but it's really just a bunch of lip service- Look at some of these other reviews, a lot of other people have gone through what I'm saying. It looks great at first until you realize soon enough what's going on. This church is super cliquey and have no problem with making people feel left out unless you do what they want you to do. This is very much the kind of place where their leadership pretends they're devoted to God to use that to make $$$ - because they are not genuine at all. Their actions say everything. They are sick people sooooo many people have left this church. I was a member of this church for years- through those years I had severe depression. I didn't have depression before I started attending this church and interesting enough the depression lifted as soon as I got away from these people. To this day I will say sometimes I have ptsd from my experiences at this church. The amount of control they exert by saying "God told me to tell you" you know...those kind of folks. When really it's them trying to control your life. They have themselves so convinced they are people of God when they are the complete opposite. Stay far away from this church. You'll thank me later.

I spent those first weeks in the back sitting on the floor crying. I felt so free and just ok to be myself for once. It has definitely been a hospital for me. It's been 3 years now and I'm so grateful that I was introduced to this community. I've grown spiritually, mentally and emotionally. I'm still growing and figuring myself out but where I am now is without a doubt due to Jesus Christ and the heavy presence he places over this church. The amazing leadership team at Evergreen take their own personal relationships with Jesus very seriously and it makes me trust them so much more. If you're looking to get more involved in the community, I highly recommend checking out all of the greenhouse groups and see which one works for you. Also look into the volunteer teams! I joined the prayer walk team for a time and that is where I made a lot of friends. I'm looking to see where else I can be of use because I seriously love this community and see myself staying here for a long time. I wanna grow with this place.

The entire pastoral and leadership team are sold-out lovers of Christ, and their authenticity is undeniable. From the moment I stepped into this church, I was overwhelmed by the love of God through the Holy Spirit--I instantly knew I had found my church home. Deep calls out to deep. Like anything worthwhile in life, building community takes effort. If you're looking for connection, I strongly encourage you to start volunteering right away. That's how you meet the "good eggs"--the ones who value serving, consistency, and commitment, just as Christ's love compels us to show up for one another. Think of it like planting a tree: roots are necessary for fruit to grow. Attending once or twice and making a judgment doesn't do justice to what this church has to offer. Plug in, get to know people. You can't microwave friendships or a sense of belonging. But according to scripture when you refresh others, Jesus refreshes you--and serving is one powerful way to experience that. If you're visiting for the first time, welcome. I hope you'll take that next step and get involved. Life isn't easy, in fact Jesus warned us there will be trials and tribulation, but He has overcome. Finding people who draw from His well of life is a rare gem, but I've met some of the most solid, faith-filled people here at Evergreen LA. From a city of Angels Native, Amy & God bless you!
