Terrible. My son,…read more20mo, has been there less than 2 months and this last week he came home 3 different days bitten on the back, once bringing blood. There was no incident report and no one even knew.... 3 times different days, separate occasions and no one saw this happening!?! Neglect and because of it my child has been injured under their care. I looked all over the Charleston area for a daycare for my 14 month old son. I was terrified…read morebecause he had never been in a daycare before and I had been a stay at home mom, nervous to let anyone watch him because I knew no one would care for him like I do. I looked at a bunch of daycares where all the teachers seemed tired and miserable and lethargic. Some of them wouldn't even respond to me when I said hello. I've seen playgrounds with broken toys that could hurt the children. I've seen classrooms full of kids with snot all over their faces that led me to believe the teachers refused to wipe their noses and in turn giving way to a vicious cycle of sick children. Then I found the Sunshine House in Mount Pleasant. Everyone was warm and welcoming, the kids were happy, the toys were unbroken and age appropriate, and Ms. Jane Anne had a kid in her lap and was wiping his nose! My son who is very clingy was anxious to squirm out of my arms and play on the playground and I instantly felt that he would be safe and cared for here. It's not conveniently located for me, but it's worth the extra drive for a daycare that exceeded my expectations. They even provide free diapers and wipes as well as breakfast, lunch, and snack. They also have flexible schedules so I can gradually increase his time there until I find a job. So happy I found the sunshine house!

I had 0 transparency on any of the profiles that could have potentially matched, never saw my profile and had absolutely no contacts for a month. When I requested to cancel my subscription, nannyPod required me to do so within my profile, rather than simply canceling it directly on their end. I work in eCommerce, consider myself to be internet savvy and spent a very long time trying to find the button to unsubscribe. THIS IS ON PURPOSE TO DISCOURAGE INDIVIDUALS FROM BEING ABLE TO UNSUBSCRIBLE EASILY. I did not find the unsubscribe button within the 24 hours that are the "grace period" of their automatic renewel and therefore the company recharged me. After persisting, I found the unsubsribe however the company refused to refund me and quit responding to my emails, 48 hours after the renewel. I have submitted my complaint to the Better Business Bureau. There are many competitors to nannyPod. I had very good experiences with the other companies so I would recommend you take your business elsewhere.

We had a terrible experience with a child's drawing class at Blair Center for the Arts. I posted…read moreabout it on their FB page and Google. He verbally threatened my child and told him he was filming him. it scared him so much he was crying the whole way home. I contacted the police and they went to speak with him. Now, because this man child can't handle a bad review we are going to have to step into legal action. Avoid all cost.

I first heard about the Blair Center For The Arts when I was admiring a piece of art at a gallery…read moreon Sullivan's Island. The artist was Silvia Belviso Blair and I was informed that she provides private art lessons. Relatively new to the world of painting and stuck on a particular commission piece, I signed up for a class from Silvia. I was not disappointed. She is fantastic. In the hour that she spent with me, I learned so many useful tips that I continue to use on a very regular basis. She is patient, thoughtful with her instruction, and just a very talented artist. I decided to take an oil painting class from Silvia shortly thereafter. Having just moved, it was so nice to have the two locations (Mt. Pleasant and West Ashley) to choose from. Once again, Silvia's instruction did not disappoint and I have now transitioned from using mostly acrylics to working mostly in oils now. The classes were mellow and my fellow classmates were a lot of fun - so much so that nobody paid attention to the time and Silvia was gracious enough to let us stay past our designated hour and a half if we chose to. The classes range from beginner/basic to very unique and I can't wait to explore them further. If you have a creative itch, I highly recommend the Blair Center!
