When I initially contacted FCS to plan and manage my 50th Birthday Soiree', it was
two weeks before the scheduled date of my special day with a guest list of over for
over 90 people. The management team met with me the next day in person to start the planning process. We executed the contract that same day, and within a couple of days after our initial meeting, the event had a solid framework. The only problem (significant to me) was with the videography for my event. FCS had two preferred videographers of their choice, but due to the initial videographer's lack of experience with creating cinema-type cinema videos (e.g., more than 10 minutes of recording time). My specific request from the initial discussion with FCS was to have my speech and my twin brother's speech to "our guests" (we were the birthday honorees) included in the video, but that did not happen. To date, we were given an 8-minute poor-quality video that "did not" include either of our speeches. Moreover, the leadership discounted our feelings and have not advocated with their preferred videographer vendor to do the right thing in good faith to add our speeches to the video, especially since the bill had been paid in full a week before the actual birthday party. Furthermore, the videographer of B-Roll Boyz does not have a company registered with BBB. Hence I could not file legal charges to get my money refunded, so at this point, I have counted the $800 PIF as a loss. Doubly because the most important thing for our 50th celebration was the video recording of us and our speeches...that is the biggest loss to us, but others did not acknowledge nor value our feelings.
FCS does a great job of planning to execute the details of the party. However, if you are seeking a high-quality video, my recommendation is to seek a videographer from your network that you know is reputable and ethical post the festivities. read more
