Quite possibly one of the worst places in Ennis. Although I used to drink here on a semi-regular basis, I have never been accosted by staff like I was at this establishment one afternoon. I brought my son in one sunny day while waiting for my wife to return from shopping down the street. I purchased a beer and a juice for us, which they served, only to be grabbed by some lady who called themselves the 'manager' and kicked out myself and my son, claiming that children were not allowed, and we should have known that, which is why we were then barred. Forget the fact myself and my son have called to this location many times before, it seemed for whatever reason the lady behind the bar did not like us and was on a mission to kick us out in the rudest way possible. They sold us a beer and an orange juice at three PM on a Tuesday, then minutes later told us to leave in no uncertain terms and told us not to come back. We had done nothing more than sit down and await my wife to finish picking up groceries. There were only two other people even in the bar. I have been there semi-weekly for almost ten years, yet have never in my life been treat like such, especially in front of my child. It would been one thing if he were running around disturbing people, but we were sitting quietly in the corner when we were browbeaten by a member of the staff for no good reason. Stay away from this place, not only is it not family friendly the bar staff seem to have serious personal issues that will directly effect one from having a quiet pint while minding ones own business. read more
